The Doves

The elders say when the district "The Doves' was built the Aphrodite herself praised its beauty, wealth, and prestige.  The the vine ridden ivory walls were designed to create desire, but also keep the upper class protected form the criminals of the realm.  At the entrances to district are Cypris and Cytherea, these two wrought golden gates are designed in away to make it appear like the goddess form.   At each gate the guards are dressed as beautiful as possible, and are made up of finest recruits from Athena Nike and the Palace of Radiance.   If you were to look through the gates you would see a very congruent district layout where the shops and taverns line the main street of the city.   These building are unlike most typical greek homes and shops, as they are a modern brick victorian style with large glass display windows.  The streets have modern lighting rather than the torch lit rest of Athens, and horse drawn carriages can be seen taking the wealthiest 1% of the realm to their destination.   They say this district has a pleasant smell of perfume to it, and that may be in part to the temples and shrines to the Goddess Aphrodite. 
Notable Landmarks:
The Garden of Chloris: Located at Around the center of this district and is on both sides of the main street, this wonderful garden is a sight to behold.   With the myrtle, dogwood, and cherry blossom trees arranged in a very symmetrical look.   This garden is where the smell of perfume and flowers come from, and is divinely enchanted to always feel as spring during the day, and fall at night.    Multiple bridges connect each side of the Garden to one another, and you can see them extending over the main street from below.    There are many statues, fountains, and shrines located within garden.   The famed river of love runs around the two sections, utilizing magic to get from one side to the other.   Couples are known to come here, with the beautiful gondolas transporting them across the Garden.
The Hand of Midas: You can miss this feature is the Doves as the entire building is made of solid gold, with very life like statues surrounding its courtyard.   This is the home to Midas and one of the grandest casinos in the realm.    The winner of the Hand of Mida poker game win an item made of pure gold valued at 15k, and that's if you can afford the entry fee of 2000.  This two story building houses tables for Blackjack, dice, roulette, slot machines, and dice.    Some people visited this casino as wealthy people and had their privileges revoked the same night.
The Cornucopia: This 5 star restaurant is ran by fire nymph named Fotiá, he uses his own natural fire to heat all the stoves, and runs the finest restaurant this side of Athens.   He specializes in all cooked food and does not dabble with meats that don't require cooking.   They are only 5 tables within this restaurant that are not reserved every night, but getting one of those tables requires knowing the right people.    
The Grand Ballroom: Located along main street is one of the Grandest Ballrooms of the realm.   This building is made of glass and the stars of the night sky show brighter within, and gives the feel of dancing with the stars.   Owned by the Countess, this building is where the rich and powerful come to meet one another, and houses many private rooms for discussion and recourse.  
The Fairest: Located near the Grand Ballroom is a tavern for the rich, and is only available for those who have been given a special token from the Countess herself.    The sheer amount of beautiful men and women located within the Fairest is outstanding.   The escorts of this establishment will fulfill any of your needs and what goes on within the walls are never shared.
The Divine Gate: Located at the far end of the District is the Airship landing and teleportation station of the Wealthy.   This is where the wealthy dock their personal airships and/or use the many teleportation circles to traverse the area of the Crossroads.  This has the feel of airport, and there are only two docks that above the ground, and they are reserved for grander airships.

Housing:   The richest people of the realm and some of the gods of the realm have homes in this area, and all of the homes are for the wealthy.   The homes have vast courtyards, fountains, statues, and some are multiple floors in height.  The properties have multiple acres of land and in general this is the least dense area of Athens.  

• Countess Megaera:  Located on the main Street of Athens is the home of the Countess Magaera.   The Doves is the only place where renown and/or wealth is required to gain a home here.  She is in charge of making sure that all homes remain clean and beautiful, and those who do not, have their residency revoked.   She is charge of all the guards of the district and answers to Hera, Aphrodite, and Freya.    The removal of a person from the district is usually done in private, but if they resist they are purged from the district in front of everyone in this district.   
• The Taverns and Inns:  while the Cornucopia is the finest in all of Athens, there are multiple inns within The Doves, these Inns are the most expensive within the district and compete with the Cornucopia on a regular basis.

Shops:

• Palace of the Dove:   Located on the main street near the district center and the home of The Countess, lies the finest clothing shop in the realm.   All of the clothes are made by patrons of Athena with designed tips coming from Hera, Aphrodite, and Freya.  The cheapest outfits range in the 1000's of gold.
• Palace of Keledones:  Located towards the entrance of The Doves and Athena Nike is the finest furniture shop in the realm.   Ran by sentient automontons they work day and night building the most beautiful wood, metal, and glass furniture in the realm.
• The Essence of Beauty:   Ran by an Athenian woman named Demetria, she makes the best statues in the realm.   These statues can be enchanted to provide levels of effects and securities.
• The Treasury:   This is the magic shop of the Doves, they only acquire high end products, and while they specialize is potions and cosmetics, they often get orders made by the crystal ball sent here.
