Titan Goddess of the River Styx, Oaths, and the Personification of Hatred   Alignment: Neutral Evil   LORE: There is one god that is honored as ruler by all of the gods of the Crossroads, and some within the outer realms of Canvas. This Goddess is Styx, the Goddess of Oaths, and she achieved that by honoring her oath to aid Zeus against her brethren. She was the first to arrive of Zeus allies in the titan war, even beating Athena to the front lines, but she also brought her children Nike, Bia, Kratos, and Zelus to the fight. To honor her she was given the domain of oaths that all gods swear to, and the consequences of the gods and others for failing to keep their oath are severe. With the entrance of these foreign gods, Styx ever vigilant, is on the rise, and any god that does not honor her domain, will find out why she is the personification hatred. —Hecate   Personality Traits: While she remain calm, this calmness is hiding the raging river of hatred she represent. She does not attack the innocent, but those who fail to honor their oaths will suffer her wrath.   Ideals: Breaking oath is a crime, those who fail to understand the severity of this are not innocent. Ignorance is not the same as innocence.   Bonds: Her husband, Children, and Zeus.   Flaws: She is way to strict   Symbol: The 5 Rivers   Worship:
  • Prevent others from making oaths recklessly.
  • Make oath breakers face their judgment.
  • Always honor your word.

Perks

  Oath-Keeper:  You are the keeper of Oaths, should you make an oath you must keep it. While you are an oath keeper you gain the following benefits.
  • Gain 10 health per patron level towards your max health.
  • You are immune to Petrify, Acid Damage, and Doom.
  • You are immune to charm, dominate, berserk, confusion, madness (non-divine), and modifying of your memory.
Oath Breaker:  Should you violate this oath you will lose your patron and suffer a permanent curse of the oath breaker.
  • You are always considered berserk in combat.
  • You can not be stopped from movement by any means.
  • You cannot be healed, but can spend patron charges to regenerate 2 hit dice of health.
  • Mortality marker: Roll a d20, that is your mortality mark, should you be attacked they only roll a d20 if they are hit, then you die.
Personification of Hatred:  You feel the Hatred of the River flow through you and in combat that hatred builds. Each round you gain your patron level in Hatred (max 20) as it builds you gain the ability to utilize different skills and gain buffs.
  • Zealot: (Cost 1 Hatred) For one use of hatred, you can add your charisma modifier to damage rolls. Does not require a bonus action or action to use.

First to Fight:  The river was first to fight, and so you will be, you don’t roll initiative, unless there is another Styx patron present or a creature that would go first naturally. Then you compete with them for the first spot.
  • Any bonus from class, other patrons, or any other feature that would grant you benefits for attacking first do not apply the first round of combat.

Skills

  Level 1   The Essence of Hatred: You coat your melee weapon with the essence of Styx, on hit the target takes 1d4+mod in Acid damage. Should the target fail wisdom save, their AC is reduced by 1 for each stack (max 3).
  • 1 Hatred Dice to double the damage.
Curse and Vitality: You target a creature within 30 ft of you and attack them with the rivers water, on a failed dexterity save the target takes 1d4+mod in acid damage and are bound to you for 1d2+1 rounds. This cannot be removed unless the target moves further than 30 ft away taking double the damage from the tether breaking. While bounds two things occur:
  • Every round they take 1d4+mod in acid damage, and you heal for half the damage caused.
  • You gain resistance on melee damage.
  Personification Hatred II:  You can spend two hatred dice to attack again   Level II:   Unholy Smite: The fools that dare to challenge her patrons will suffer for their sacrilege, When you make an attack roll you can add 2d4+mod in necrotic damage to smite them. The health lost by the necrotic damage can not be healed back, and if they fail a charisma save, any patron skill that is buffing them is ended.   The Oath of the River: Styx agreed to aid Zeus in fight and honored that oath, for that you are gifted the ability to make an oath to an ally you can see. This oath binds them to you for 1d3+1 rounds, and you take half the damage done to them. Would they go unconscious, you will take the remaining damage to keep them at 1 health. If this effect would cause you to die or go unconscious you take 1 point of exhaustion instead.
  • Should your bonded target die, you will suffer the effects of the Oath Breaker, and will die in 1 minute, unless they are restored.
Hatred II: (Cost 2 Hatred) Choose 1
  • Bonus action: Give a target disadvantage on an ability check of your choice.
  • Reaction: You can inflict shaken on a target within 30ft on a failed charisma save.  At double the cost, you can remove the immunity of Shaken or give disadvantage on the roll.
  • Reaction: Reduce damage of an attack within 30 ft against you or an ally by an intimidation check.
  Level III: Armor of Styx:  As a reaction you choose to coat yourself with the armor of Styx, doing so means you can only be it by a natural 20. If you are hit by natural 20 you instantly die, if not you avoid the damage.
  • If the attack is an AOE roll 1d20 on a 20 you die.
  • You must call this ability before the attack roll is rolled.
Hatred III: Your hatred of needless combat grows, granting you access to more of essence of Styx. (Cost 3 Hatred)
  • Bonus action: You unleash your hatred and create an intense aura of hatred around you for 15ft, each enemy that is in the area or walks into the area must pass a wisdom save or become frightened of you. If enemies stay within the aura, they take 3d4+mod in acid damage.
  • Reaction: Should a target flee you during combat, you can spend 3 hatred to attempt to punish them for the needless pain that has been caused, If a target you can see that is within 60 ft tries to flee, you can use your reaction to turn them to stone. If they still have allies fighting the target makes the save with disadvantage.
Oath Keeper:  You can roll 1d(patron level)+Patron level and get that many charges of Hatred.   Level IV:   Spear of Oaths: This weapon is designed for the followers of Styx; it is one of the most powerful weapons known in the realm and is capable of ignoring most weakness. The weapons shaft is made from the remains of Oath breakers, and the spear tip of condensed essence of Styx. This weapon cannot be held by a non-follower of Styx.
  • +4 Spear reach is 10ft
  • Damage: Non-Divine Being cannot be resist the damage.
  • 3d6+Mod in piercing damage.
  • 4d8+mod in Acid damage.
Effects: Hatred: Cost 4 Hatred
  • Bonus Action: Loathe: You unleash an attack that is increased by an intimidation check and if the target fails wisdom saving throw, they suffer the Terror Condition. This stacks with Personification of Hatred.
  • Bonus Action: You give yourself resistance to all damage for the round.
  • Reaction: You inflict disadvantage on a saving throw or advantage on saving throw, on a failed save they target is Heroic Cursed.
  • Action: Enemies within 60 ft must pass a constitution save or take 4d4+mod in acid damage. On failure targets suffer 2 decay each minute until they use their action to remove the acid from their body.
