Port of Amphitrite

There are few things more awe inspiring than when you sail into the Port of Amphitrite. The miles and miles of docks and shipyards is daunting and impressive, and the sheer amount of ships docked there is massive. The Port of Amphitrite is as big as most cities in the land, and the beach front properties offer a beautiful view for those that can afford a home there.   Millions of gold worth of imports and exports come in and out of the Port, and even with that said, the port is not something that can be sieged easily.    For those looking to adventure at sea, the port host many captains looking for a strong patron to become a member of the crew.       Notable Landmarks:   The Eye of the Forge:   The biggest building in this district is the Shipyard, and it so big it can house 5 ships and 2 airships within.   Ran by the Cyclops Xomis and a nereid Haidee.   These two are some of the best shipbuilders in the land, and can get repairs done quite quickly.  Xomis is a follower of Prometheus and Hephaestus, and Haidee is a follower of Amphitrite and Archimedes.   To no one's surprise they are some of the best smiths in the land, but rarely take any orders that do not involve ships.   The Hub: The hub is one of the biggest buildings in the port, it provides transport trough magical trolleys to access the entire area of the Port Realtivily easy.    You can see hundreds of these trolleys enter and leave through the hub, and most people upon arrival make their way to the hub rather walking.   While its affordable to most people that come into Athens, it can be break the bank of some.   Each ride on the Trolley cost 5 g to travers the Port, 10g to get to the other districts, and 20g to traverse to one of the city states.   The Argonaut: The faction headquarter of Jason and his Argonauts, and is home to his famed ship.   The building has its own private dock and compound and is off limited to anyone that is not a member of the faction.    The building is designed to look like a temple to himself, and the symbol is embossed in fake celestial gold.  Everything about the compound is to give the impression of famed demigod and hero.   The compound and faction headquarters are heavily guarded by the Athenian Empire, and it is assumed this faction works directly with Pericles.   The Loch:  Near the entrance to the Amphitrite and Poseidon's temples you will find a walkway the goes out 100ft from the port.    At the end of this walk way is a shrine to Levithan with a pool of water that goes to the ocean floor.    For those that can breath underwater this leads to a beautiful underwater tavern and bar, and while there are pockets of air, it is not designed for the typical humanoid.   A lot of the drinks that are provided are of the ocean depths, and have a sea taste to them.    The bar is ran by a Merfolk named Antemion and his wife Chryse.   The Port Authority:  The Port Authority is where the local district port authority resides.   The government building is in charge of security, inspections, and shipping logs, no one is allowed entrance to the port without permission form this group.    Ran by Demeas son of Thoth, this is one of the most pro Athenian Empire members of Athens.    He believes that due to the nature of Divine law and the history of Athens that the city belongs to Pericles.   To keep the peace he was allowed his position by Reyna, and is watched closely by the wisdom guard.
Location: South of The Agora   Population: 100,000 People   Housing: This district has an abundance of apartment buildings and condos that run along the width of the district.   This goes for miles and miles and looks like a system rows and columns.  There is a system of electric trolleys' that navigate the area and transport people and product along the whole district.  Along the cost you will find the beach front properties of the wealth people of the Crossroads, and each of them have their own private beaches and docks.       Shops:
  • The Bait and Tackle:  A harpy named Hynalle runs this general goods shops.   This general goods deals in single and bulk transactions and carries a vast assortment of supplies/products for ships and sailors.   A good place to go before going out on the sea.
  • The Nereids Blessing: The prestige magic shop of the District ran by nereid name Galatea II.
  • Amphitrite's Forge : This forge is ran by Nilus of the Forge, and weapons are built using the teaching of the elder of Kyklops.
  • The Daimona of Magic : Ran by male daemon of Pyriphlegethon has the fire river illuminating beneath the hardened obsidian skin making it appear blood red at times.
  • The Song of the Sea:   A wonderful inn that houses some of the best talents in the district.  Many established bards and muses come to the inn to perfect their skills.
