Athena Nike

There are those who seek fame and glory, and the District of Athena Nike heeds that call. The massive colosseum at the center of the District echoes the memories of glory and the disappointment of Defeat. The roar of 100k people cheering their favorite warrior is truly a sight to behold, and those who achieve glory become addicted to victory. The Pantheon of Champions is the embodiment of their legends, and people come from miles around to see this wondrous museum of the martial arts.   Notable Landmarks:   The Colosseum of Victory: This massive colosseum is home to gladiators, warriors, and mages that dare to test their skills against creatures of legend and one another.   The famed warrior Beatrix "The Athena Nike" runs to coliseum and watches over the district.   The monument seats up to 100k and the roars of the mob can be heard from accross Athens Proper.   The Boneyard: This gymnasium belongs to the Greek Goddess of War and Aries Female counterpart Enyo. This compound house lodgings for the people training, a temple to Zeus and Hera, and the actual gymnasium. The Gymnasium is made up of 4 buildings making a square, and large open area in the center where the training occurs. This large building is home to her personal guards, and with their assistance she will restrain a person to another class. The cost will put you back 30k gold pieces, but when done you will have lost no experience.   Pillar of Strength: The shrine/dojo of Kratos where melee fighters come to train their body for the martial arts. Reserved for those that serve Kratos the Pillar of Strength is prepares them for a life of a patron or warrior of the coliseum. The shrine is made of marble with columns holding up the roof, its mediation garden sits at the center and is open to the elements. It is not uncommon for warriors that train here to have the temperature increased and decreased to extreme measures. Many people do not last or survive the meditation cycles, but those who do are far better of in areas of extreme weather.   The Alpha: This military style encampment is home to Bia's personal favorites and spec ops team. People enlist here to train themselves for the hardest task a patron or warrior can do. This unit is responsible for carrying out feats alone, and only the strong come back. There is one building where Bia's shrine is located, and the rest of the compound is full of military barracks of large tents. The Large statue of Bia, is prayed to every mission, and glory be to those who return.   Pantheon of Champions: Almost as big as the Pantheon utop the acropolis, this the museum and shrine to Patrons and Heroes that completed their task. Like the Parthenon this building is rectangular shape with its massive marble roof held up with pillars. When you come you are greeted by the curator, and he is in charge updating the list of heros mentioned here. Heroes are honored by having their name engraved in celestial gold, and the truly heroic patrons are gifted a room dedicated to themselves or their group below the main floor.   The Grappler: Another gymnasium dedicated to the training of the Body, but this one was designed for the Titan god who holds up the sky Atlas. It is similar in design of the Pillar of Strength, but with an notable difference. At the Center is an image of Atlas holding the World, should you feel brave enough you can attempt to hold the world in his stead. To left of the statue is a leaderboard of who has held it the longest. The student of Kratos are sent here to try to hold the world as well, and while some do well, holding the world is not just about strength. The leaderboards longest 10 times are held primarily by patrons of Atlas, but the #2 spot is held by a patron of Kratos.
