A Renaissance of Death 12/23/2021

General Summary

During this session you arrived in Heaven's Tear by taking a trolley with Cobon,  and it was eventful to say the least.   Cobon is not considered a great man, and this drug addicted driver appeared to get you guys pulled over by Athenian Soldiers.    Unbeknownst the group, they were getting trailed by the soldiers for the innocent involving the order and the owl.   Feeling there pride was wounded, they wished to reassert their authority over the party.   The driver Cobon quickly reminded them they had no jurisdiction over anyone in Heavens Tear.    The situation was quickly turning into a confrontation when the owner of the Renaissance arrived to hopefully ease the tension.   He is described as a skeleton with a fancy purple suit, hat, a thin mustache above where is top lip would be, and a beautiful emerald eye.   As he reminded the soldiers that this was a misunderstanding, the soldiers were slowly being surrounded by the people of the Grotto.  Feeling outnumbered they hastily retreated to a place of safety.  

• Niv was not present and was be questioned about a death of a Wisdom Guard at the hand of the ripper.

The High Chair Belfonte  introduced himself to the party and inquired what they needed, and upon hearing this info Marietta appeared with Panikos and Nyxie.   You were allowed to enter into the renaissance and with the poker chip as payment the 2 were not under the protection of the High Chair.  He introduced his assistant julia, a woman dressed in a similar purple dress, with dark hair, and green eyes.   Her hair is up in a bun with a variety of beautiful hair objects hold her hair in place, she wears beautiful gold glasses, and carries a notepad that has quil recording the conversations she has.

• Ghost was given a tour of the hidden shop.   They had a variety of weapons, armor, magical artifacts, and potions both of this realm and of other realms.
• Julia suggested that if ghost reputation was good enough he should come work here, was given a job to remind a local gang who runs the Heavens tear and to pay their dues.   Ghost accepted this job.   Leader had gold hair and went by Eris, but his real name was ityls.
• While gold can be used to gain play games and purchase items from the shop, it appears that the chip is the prefered currency of the renaissance, chips are given to those who have earned them in the eyes of the HC/Julia.
• Panikos lost a lot of gold gambling
• Methuselah and Oswald: did the switcheroo to win gold, then lost it immediately, Pyrrha lost 500 gold playing roulette as well.
• Octavian praid to the Tykhe to for luck in gambling, was rewarded with golden dice.
• Octavian won some gold, and but owes a favor to the HC/Julia, she required that he wear an earring that she can use to call upon him.   This didn't sit well with epicurious.   After some back and forth she kicked everyone out but octavian.

Ghost and Methuselah informed the party of the job they got offered, and asked if anyone wanted to assist them with this job.   After discussion the party decided just Octavian and ghost would and the set off to the group.  Shortly after acquiring room methuselah and pyrrha made their way down stairs and began to play a card game with what appeared to be a local homeless person.   He gave Methuselah a peppermint candy cane, and kept playing the board game.    Epicurious came down and entered the kitchen to make meals but be in earshot of his two companions.   The games seemed innocent enough, but was getting stranger every minute, the person kept staring at pyrrha, and was curious about who did the work on her face and asked if she could still speak.   Once it became aware that she couldn't, Methuselah fell over, and he shot phyra in the face with his cane.   Hoping to destroy a useless canvas in his eyes, revealing himself to be the ripper.

• Epicurious came in and tackled the ripper to the ground and held him in place.
• He told the barkeep Olympias to get help, and called out to Acumen to get mythreal.
• With both of the girls fading fast, epi healed Pyrrha, and with the ripper chastising Epi he punched him his throat attempted to crush his throat.   To no avail as the ripper kept mocking epi and laughing in his face.    He began to count down the minutes until Methuselah died, and that is when Niv showed up with Reyna and Mithril.   The rippers body disappeared at that point leavening the group themselves.
• Niv gave Methuselah her nectar, and Reyen after discussing what happened left 2 wisdom guard with the group.
• The nectar caused the fey portion of Methuselah to wake and she can now polymorphe into her original form once per day.

Ghost and Octavian made their way to the gang Discourse, where ghost noticed that people were trailing Octavian.   He confronted one, and after some threatening remarks the man appeared to scared for his life.    Wanting to join the Klepths in the future, Ghost made a deal with.  You help and ill help you, and with this persons help they arrived at the hideout of the gang.   All of which where metallic blue robes, and have golden apples in their hand.   These apples appeared to be highly explosive, and few of them exploded very easy.    The man traversing with the two revealed himself to be leader of the Kelpths "The Ghost" and aided them in distracting the main forces of the gang, by polymorphing himself into eris and octavian into julia.  using the a little desire and chaos, they lured the group away and caused them to blow themselves up.   At the same time this happened Ghost had snuck up behind the leaders and proceeded to do what was requested.

• Ghost beat the living shit out of Itylys, and acquired the dues he was told.
• Julia appeared at his side, and reminded Ityls he was warned many times, and due to him causing troubles in Heavens Tear, he was viewed as a troublemaker, and was executed.
• Julia said ghost could keep the 500 gold that the gang had, and gave him 8 chips.
• Octavian and Ghost were given advice by "The Ghost".  Octavian should change his outfit and ghost should change his nickname.

When the party rejoined Ghost gave everyone their chips, and discussed with the group the event of the day, leaving out major details from his own event.    Epicurious had a convo with Mythreal and they talked as friends do eventually falling a sleep.   Niv received a message from Sapphire, who decided to go by the name Vin, and pretends to be his sister.   Requested an audience with Octavian as she has found his map.

• Niv stayed close by for Octavian safety.
• Octavian staff shows a map to "New Rome"
• He also rolled a natural 20 sleeping with her.
