Ilaephoala, Primeval Goddess of Love and Death
Ilaephoala, otherwise known as Ilae, or the Primeval Goddess of Love and Death, is one of progenitors of the other Gods and men. While Udea is widely worshiped, knowledge of Ilae is generally limited to scholars of religion. Widespread worship of her is yet to be seen in places beyond Kapra.
Ilae is a very strict Goddess, oft requiring lengthy rituals with little to no reward, which may suggest why worship is almost non-existent. Those who do worship her only speak vaguely of her rites, resulting in very little knowledge of them. From what scholars have gathered, they may include sacrificing of animals of varying sizes, or potentially humans. Still, those who adhere to her doctrines are blessed with seemingly unnatural prowess over death.
Similar to Udea, Ilaephoala's origins are lost to time and only available through Elven ruins. Even so, many assume her to be just as old as Udea, hinted by her relationship with him. She appears to have been born at the same time as Udea, and at some point fell in love with him. Through his endeavors to create the world Patonis, she lent her guiding hand to shape the world. Soon after though, they would realize that Patonis was bland and featureless. Ilae convinced Udea to wed her, then procreate in order to create children to aid them in creating this world of their's. Disappearing into the stars along with Udea, she rests until she is needed again by her love...
Ilaephoala is absolutely smitten with Udea, believes him to be the epitome of beauty and form. Marrying him at the soonest possible chance, she begged for children of her own, so that they may take on his beauty. From him, she birthed the whole of the rest of the gods and goddesses.
Ilaephoala is extremely beautiful, with ivory skin, long, flowing dark red hair, and eyes the color of mithril. She is very tall and of hearty build, and holds herself with a very smug aura, often seen with one hand covering her mouth teasingly. She usually wears light and airy robes dyed silver.
