Helena "Larza" Hawthorne

Helena Hawthorne was born to minor English nobility shortly before the disaster that left everything from Penzance to Southend-on-Sea an undead inhabited hellscape. Her family fled what they thought a doomed nation and ended up in southern Germany. The locals were unfamiliar with centaurs which led to considerable trouble. Helena lost her parents to a pack of Flesh hounds when she was only 12 years old. The spoiled girl was suddenly alone in a region that she barely new and was surrounded by ignorant and desperate people. Germany even after 70 years, hadn't fully recovered from Himmler's misguided attempt to achieve godhood as the 3rd Reich crumbled. The poor girl was stripped of her name and dignity by starving peasants who forced her to plow their fields. When Mittens found the girl she was being forced to go by "Larza" and had nearly been broken by the cruelty. Mittens lost control of her emotions and slaughtered the peasants. Helena has seen herself as Mittens' retainer ever since.

Helena is now 24 years old. As tends to be the case with centaurs she is prideful, elegant and distrusting of strangers. Currently works as the head of security at "Wonderland". She also carries deep psychological scars from how she met Mittens for the first time in southern Germany. The name "Larza" is a grim reminder of just how quickly someone can fall from lofty heights to depths of misery and a solemn oath to never allow such injustice in her presence. She is quite distrusting of humans and often seems cold and aloof. She's a vegetarian and has a surprising love of plushies. She is quite the romantic at heart and loves theatre and cheesy romance novels. She often visits "Strange Aeons" to look for new novels and old scripts. Her favorite food is Japanese natto which she tends to have with a large portion of greens and sake. She has ties to several magical being related activist groups who frequent "Wonderland".
