Zindra (Zin-drah)
The Wandering Flame
Also known as the Lantern in the Dunes, the Mother of Wayfarers, and the Keeper of Kindred Sparks.
Once a mortal ysoki, Zindra was a traveler who stumbled upon an enchanted lantern. The lantern's flame never died, regardless of the challenges it faced. She took it upon herself to light the desert paths, ensuring that those who followed in her footsteps would never become lost. She was responsible for leading entire caravans to safety and was known for her warm, hospitable nature. One night, Zindra vanished without a trace. Despite whatever fate had befallen her, her flame rose to the heavens to continue guiding travelers.
Zindra isn't worshiped in temples but rather at campfires, waystations, and on the open road. Her clerics often serve as guides or scouts, as well as storytellers and messengers between remote communities. In honor of their goddess, they continue to light the trails she frequented. They use glowing glyphs to mark safe trails and leave care packages wrapped in twine and colorful beads. These packages contain some adventuring essentials, such as maps, compasses, waterskins, and journeybread.
Zindra herself appears as a cloaked ratfolk with windswept fur and a bright, woven sash decorated with many charms. She carries an ever-burning lantern in one hand and a walking stick in the other. Her tail is covered with a crocheted braid that's intertwined with tokens from her journeys, like coins or jewelry.

Tenets of Faith
Feed the Flame
The warmth of a fire is a gift to be shared, not hoarded. It's a light in the dark that binds traveling souls together. No one should ever face the cold night alone, whether they're kin, a stranger, or even a rival. Give shelter to the lost, share a meal with the hungry, and offer a listening ear to those willing to share their story. An open fire invites trust, trade, and tales, but selfishness chokes out the chance for connection. Generosity feeds the flame, giving warmth and safety to those who gather around it.Walk the Unknown
The answers you seek often lie on paths not traveled. Curiosity is never a flaw but a guide into the unknown. Unfamiliar territory holds the promise of growth. Fear and uncertainty may beg you to be cautious, but they should never hold you back. Meet the unknown with open eyes, a steady stride, and an open heart of wonder. Only by moving forward can discovery take root.Weaving the Tapestry
Every traveler carries a thread, and together we weave the living tapestry of the world. It's not shaped by possessions, but by moments, choices, and shared experiences. Value the journey over the destination, and don't let your past mistakes hinder your growth. Listen to other travelers, speak freely, and let your wisdom live on through stories and memories.Leave the Trail Brighter
Wherever you walk, others may follow. Walk with purpose, and let your path be one full of kindness and care. We're never truly alone, and our actions don't exist within a bubble. Every choice shapes the world around you and affects the lives of others. Be mindful of the tracks you leave behind. Mark trails to alert travelers to safety or peril, repair what you can, and extend a hand to those who need it. A thoughtful traveler lights the road for many."The road remembers the kind."
