Temple of Nostra Signora Sabella

The Temple of Nostra Signora Sabella (Our Lady Sabella) is an ancient temple located in Florence, Caelsimil. Modern architecture and scholars argue the temple maybe the first to Sabella on the Caelsimilian Peninsula.

Alterations

Following its acquisition by the Order, much of the temple was rebuilt, new shingles on the roof, parts that where sold were repurchased and interior seperation walls either given a new passage way or removed entirely. In addition, three large stained glass windows were placed in empty windows of the tower. The center peice, depicting the Oracle of Nature, was the most expensive peice at an estimated cost of over one thousand gold- though notably the left window likely took the longest as the less vibrant colors required greater accuracy to one and other than the more vibrant center and right windows.

Architecture

Built from clay bricks quarried from one of the rivers that pass through Florence the temple has a faint red color to it; the temple consists of a large three story building and tower overlooking the interior courtyard where services are regularly held.

History

Originally a temple, the Church served as the main worship house for followers of Sabella in Florence, a minority considering the other extensive cults in the city- especially to the other two main gods of the pantheon. The temple is located in one of the oldest parts of the city, over the years many of the locals stopped attending in favor of newer larger temples raised around the city.
In the middle years the temple had a small but active congrigation- lead by three small preists. Nicola Lombardi, Mary Cellini, and Elimena Scarpitti. Durring this age the temple did what it could for the community at large, and fostered closeness with its neighbors on the local block- though it lacked much of the funding the temples of Cato, Bibiana, and Altamere in the city would get, especially as funding would be diverted further at the start of the Crusade.
It was following the Caelsimil Crusade against Teme-Rasadar that the temple began somewhat of a revival, in the early days supporters came to pay tribute to the goddess- though not a minor one she was considered lesser to the locals than others the need of all the gods had grown. Durring the war the clergy had slowly began to move towards revering local saint Industria- who's mother had previously lead the church in her time.
Following the war the Temple faced closure. Though supported by the government a failing minor church was a low priority. The church was eventually bought by a group of people who would later go on to form the Order and converted into a place of worship and clinic for the sick and injured.
