Beast of Temekus, Untitled Poem

The Beast of Temekus is the unofficial title of a rhyme commonly recited throughout Teme-Rasadar. It details what some believe to be a prophecy regarding the end of days, during which a powerful, apocalyptic beast created by the god Temekus is fated to rise and destroy all of reality.

History

The majority of its lines are commonly believed to have originated from an unnammed poem discovered on a dead's man's body, tucked away in a shallow cavern along the Lendover Mountains. It gained popularity when parents began to recite it as a cautinary tale to encourage children to behave, at which point a new stanza was eventually added.   The additional stanza reads as follows:   In order to keep the monster at bay,   We must do our chores, sleep early, and pray.   Obeying our elders will set us apart   For the beast has no taste for those pure of heart.
