April 2024 Character Warm-Up Questions

  • Suppose your character has the opportunity to say anything they wanted to the rest of the party on their dying breath- what would they say?
  • Talk about a holiday your character celebrates/has celebrated. Why do they care about it (or do they even care at all?) Can be a specific, recurring holiday (make your own- think of the various cultures your character has been part of) or a memory of a singular event (such as a parade or a party)
  • Does your character have a good luck charm? It could be a trinket (e.g. a rabbit's foot, a feather, or a peculiar coin), a practical item (such as a spatula that always makes the perfect pancake, a dagger that never misses, etc) an heirloom, or something else. How did they get it? Why do they consider it lucky- was there a specific event?

1.) "Whether you want me to or not, I'm going to haunt the fuck out of you all."   2.) When Huey got his first bow as a young teenager, he joined his mother on the road with a group of other hunters. Their quarry was a family of ogres who were terrorizing Romayan villages. The battle was brutal, but the hunters came out on top with some fresh scars to prove their victory. They dragged themselves to the nearest inn, where they proceeded to get drunk, boast about their best kills, and place bets on which of them would be the first to die. They bought Huey drinks and he partied with them all night. While he was a novice, the hunters treated him like he was one of their own.   3.) His good luck charm is a pair of hand-carved D6s that he's had since he was a teen. They're made out of bone and each side features a different wild animal or magical beast. The dice were carved by his mother and gifted to him before they set out to hunt a mantidrake. While they could be a reminder of the worst day of his life, he believes that the dice are the reason why he survived. In his mind, his mom must have had them blessed or something.

    1) TT would use the moment of her death to make a simple request, giving whoever nearby her gun/weapon and instructing them to avenge her- bonus points if they do not know who or what they should be avenging against.   2) TT is a well traveled person, I mean for a pirate. As such she has met many peoples of many races and cultures. Among these were the orc tribes of the north. There she was apart of one tribe's Festival of the Eternal Glow- an event celebrated on the one day a year the sun does not set there. Primarily they celebrate with one on one battles of all forms, physical shows, games of intellect, and games of luck. Notably TT spent most the festival watching animal races and eating the festival's famous snack, a yellow rice ball filled with spicy peppers.   3) No.
