Session 3: Shrimp Tempura
General Summary
Owkbanok spends his time in the brig entertaining himself by singing shanties. As we all come by to periodically check on him and explain what’s happening, a quickling nobody noticed until the last minute overhears it all and proceeds to annoy the vast majority of us. Tempera, the little lad’s name is, tries to blackmail Owkbanok to get himself a position in the crew. A position much higher than he deserved as the guy’s a stowaway that was caught stealing, so like, n o. As we approach Serengeti, we hold the vote to free Owkbanok and kill Tempera. Owkbanok gets out and so does Tempera despite the majority of us wanting him gone. Thanks, Morthos!
With us finally at Serengeti, I plan to kill the little guy, but first we need to go sell our loot. TT takes me and Morthos to a guy she knows that can take care of this no problem and Owkbanok goes asking around for an old friend of his, Dreadnought. Instead, he ends up getting wasted in a tavern while the rest of us collect our shares of the loot and go tracking down Tempera. My leopard leads us to back alley casino hall where he’s speaking with four other guys. So we decide an ambush is the best approach, but we have to lure him away from his group. I go and speak with him, telling him I’d like to get drinks with him tonight and make up for the way I treated him earlier. Now mind you, this guy is annoying as fuck and stole my stuff (don’t worry, me and TT got it back). I took his diamond as payment for his mischief.
He says to prove that thing’s are smoothed over, I should give him his diamond back. I reluctantly do so and Morthos quickly steals it back as he thinks that’s what Tempera stole from me. Now he was in this guy’s corner, hence how the little fucker lived after the vote, but after telling him of his petty thievery, Morthos is disappointed in him. Leading Tempera to an ambush isn’t working out, so we decide to start a riot in the casino hall to grab him and go. Our riot succeeds and after Tempera makes the mistake of attacking me, I grab him and make my way for the door. TT deals with his friends before escaping their clutches as Morthos stabs the fuck out of Tempera, who’s still in my arms, telling him how he vouched for him.
After that’s all taken care of, we all decide it’s time to make our way for Dirty Richard’s, the tavern we’re meeting the rest of our crew in. We catch up with a drunken Owkbanok and head inside. It’s work time for me, so I get to prostituting while my captain questions what the fuck I’m doing. Owkbanok continues his search for information regarding Dreadnought and is pointed to an elf who may know. The man says she’s sailing on a ship called the Sea Shanty now and is supposed to come in next week. Apparently the gal’s been acting suspicious as shit and has refused to speak to anyone on Serengeti the last time she was here three months ago.
I get “my” diamond back from Morthos who says I owe him and indeed I do! He turns down a prostitute Owkbanok hired for him in an attempt to fuck with him after Morthos poked fun at him back when he was in the brig. Come morning, we’ll be recruiting a whole new crew for our ship after we decided to dismiss the old crew as the captain didn’t want that emotional baggage.
