1. Huey, while not always vocal about it, is a surprisingly paranoid person. His paranoia makes him wary and mistrustful of people as he firmly believes that everyone has ulterior motives. Which leads to him keeping everyone, even allies, at a distance emotionally. It's a trait that he can't change due to his mental health and he doesn't realize that it's a problem in the first place. 2. When he's sober, Huey likes to pretend that he doesn't believe any of the conspiracy theorist bullshit he spouts when he's high. While he knows some of is nothing more than stories, there are a few that he holds onto by tooth and claw. If he overhears rumors and conspiracies anywhere, his interest is piqued enough to poke around and unravel it on his own time. The daily happenings within circles of socialites and nobles is something he pretends to care for in order to keep a low profile when need be. He doesn't care about their disconnected view of the world and pretentious attitudes towards those they deem inferior. He doesn't care whose grandfather is famous or whose daughter is running for a seat in the local government. All they're good for is their gold; anything else is just white noise.
