Baron Sirian First is challenged to a duel by a bandit lord from the South. After losing the duel, Baron First leaves Rostland. It is assumed he is too embarrased to show his face.
Baron Sirian First returns, now going by the name Baron Sirian Aldori, the "Sword Baron". He challenges the Bandit lord again and easily defeats him.
After defeating all challengers in numerous duels Baron Aldori is eventually convinced to teach others his techniques. He founds the Aldori swordlords under the condition they change their surname to Aldori, follow the Aldori swordpact and not pass on their teachings to anyone outside the swordpact.
Issia is founded by river pirates and other scoundrels. Eventually it is ruled by House Surtova, originally a pirate clan for more than 1000 years.
The two nations of Rostland and Issia being a series of wars over territory as they both expand. Towns and even cities change hands over the years.
Prior to his armies arrival, Choral the Conquerer met with Lord Nikos Surtova who pledged alleigance to Choral. As part of his conditions Choral marries Nikos's daughter Myrna Surtova, establishing House Rogrovia.
Choral the Conquerer's army arrives in Issia, after the main House Surtova pledges alleigance immediately the defence of Issia is left in shambles and the remaining houses quickly surrender.
Choral's army quickly moves onto Rostland where they battle the Aldori Swordlords, but are eventually defeated by a pair of Choral's red dragon allies at the Valley of Fire. With that the army conquered the capital of Restov. Only the fortress of Skywatch, held by Aldori sepratists from Issia, holds out against Choral the Conquerer.
About half of the Council of Swordlords flee Rostland into the River Kingdoms in anticipation of the arrival of Choral the Conquerer's army.
Choral the Conquerer forms the nation of Brevoy by combining the lands of Rostland and Issia. He proclaims New Stetven the capital of Brevoy.
The last holdout of Aldori sepratists, the city of Skywatch, is burned to the ground by Choral's red dragons.
The nation of Mivon is founded by members of the former Council of swordlords and refugees from Rostland. Several of the members proclaim themselves a 'government-in-exile' of Rostland.
Choral the Conquerer and his red dragon allies disappear, leaving his decendants of House Rogarvia to continue ruling Brevoy. To this day many locals say Choral will return "when the time is right".
Exactly 200 years after the establishment of Brevoy. All members of House Rogarvia disappear without a trace. In their absense House Surtova took over as the ruling dynasty of Brevoy.
No explanation of the fate of House Rogarvia has ever been given leading to wild speculation in the people of Brevoy.
