Village at the Edge of the World Report

General Summary

Finding their way out of the Tynon Range  and Mordau  into the warmer climes of the northern Summerlands , the party saw for the first time in months green grass and a lush, green pine forest.     Veering off of the Banshee Wagons track, they followed a trail.  Ahead was a young woman at a crossroads.  Vihra Durnova  attempted to seductively approach her and gained a measure of the lady's trust.  The woman suggested the obviously trail-worn party visit the nearby village of Daerys  for some well-deserved rest, explaining that a local minor god named Yaga protected the village from the forces of the Iron Legion .  She also asked that they return a medallion with the symbol of Yaga on it that she had accidentally walked off with.   Taking the medallion, the party followed the directions to Daerys.  There they discovered an idyllic village full of happy people and children going about their daily lives, unhindered by the violence of the outside world, but not blind to its existence either.  The village had no roads, only a few buildings and farms.  In the center of the village was the town well and a triangular shaped stone with the symbol of Yaga on it.  There were no walls and no guards.  Detecting magic, Brandilyn Hart  noticed that the entire village had some sort of abjuration effect on it, seeming to radiate out from the "Yaga stone."   The group was approached by a young child with her very intricately made doll who introduced herself as Anna.  She gave a short tour of the village and took the party to the elder's home.  She also sang goblin songs with Tup .  Inside the elder's home, they returned the medallion, were fed a delicious and hearty stew (except for Brandy who was given fresh carrots due to her being a vegetarian).  The elder offered a great deal of hospitality and invited the group to stay for the Festival of Heroes which was happening in two weeks.  They even had a lodge for visitors, a simple square building of communal sleeping quarters, which the elder offered up for the PCs' resting needs.   Settling in we shifted into downtime mode, where Tup  prepared a lesser antidote, Grilsnick  hunted and both Grilsnick and Brandy did some shopping...
