Righteous Spear

Though the Iron Legion rules most of the world, there is a rebellion that has ben fostering and growing over the last 500 years. This group calls itself the Righteous Spear.   The Righteous Spear is spread far and wide, with cells operating in most major cities throughout the Summerlands , the Redlands and the Crescent Isles .   The Righteous Spear was founded by members of an ancient monk school known as the Path of the Five Spears, but that order was destroyed by the Iron Legion . The few surviving members of the Path created the Righteous Spear organization to stand against the Iron Lord and have worked for the last 500 or so years to defeat the foul creatures and to preserve the traditions of their member nations lest they be lost.  

Righteous Spear Options

The Righteous Spear has a number of options and benefits for joining the organization, despite the fact that they are not an overly powerful organization. The Righteous Spear has kept the traditions of its once proud member nations alive. There are (XX) Dedications one can choose as a member of the Righteous Spear.  

Estrbaqian Duelist


Duelists from the nation of Estrabaq were once the most renowned and feared throughout the entire world. After the nation fell, the three remaining master duelists went underground and joined the Righteous Spear. Today there are only a handful of these duelists still around.   (This is based off of the "Aldori Duelist" in the Lost Omens World Guide)  

Estrabaqian Duelist Dedication | FEAT 2

Uncommon, Archetype, Dedication
Prerequisites trained in rapiers
Access You are a member of the Righteous Spear
Your Estrabaqian duelist training teaches you martial techniques and increases your dedication to the rapier. You become trained in your choice of Acrobatics or Athletics and in Dueling Lore; if you were already trained, you become an expert instead. Whenever your proficiency rank in any weapon increases to expert or beyond, you also gain that new proficiency rank with rapiers.
Special You cannot select another dedication feat until you have gained two other feats from the Estrabaqian duelist archetype.  

Estrabaqian Parry (one action) | FEAT 4

Prerequisites Estrabaqian Duelist Dedication
Requirements You are wielding only a rapier and have your other hand or hands free.
You can parry attacks against you with your rapier. You gain a +2 circumstance bonus to AC until the start of your next turn as long as you continue to meet the requirement.  

Duelist's Edge (free action) | FEAT 4

Prerequisites Estrabaqian Duelist Dedication
Trigger You roll initiative and you can observe at least one opponent[/br] You hone your reaction time through duels and learn to draw your weapon seamlessly as you begin a fight. You gain a +2 circumstance bonus to the triggering initiative roll, and you can immediately Interact to draw your rapier.  

Estrabaqian Riposte (Trigger)| FEAT 6

Requirements You are benefiting from Estrbaqian Parry
Trigger An opponent within your reach critically fails a Strike against you. You riposte with your rapier when your enemy leaves an opening. Make a melee Strike or use a Disarm action against the triggering opponent using your rapier.  

Unnerving Prowess (Free Action) | FEAT 6

Prerequisites Estrabaqian Duelist Dedication
Trigger You critically succeed at a Strike or Disarm with your rapier
Your incredible skill with your blade unnerves your foes. You attempt to Demoralize the target of your Strike or Disarm. This Demoralize attempt does not have the auditory trait, nor do you take a penalty to the check if the target doesn’t understand your language.  

Saving Slash (Trigger) | FEAT 10

PrerequisitesEstrabaqian Duelist Dedication
Trigger An opponent critically hits you with a melee attack.
You quickly whirl your blade, trying to deflect enough momentum to avoid the worst of the attack. Attempt a DC 16 flat check. If you succeed, the attack becomes a normal hit, instead of a critical hit.

Values Those who rule should be just and kind and tyranny should be overthrown no matter the cost.
Anathema Owning slaves, supporting tyrants or being unjust.
