Tiefling
Tieflings are the descendants of the union of mortal beings and fiends. The traits may appear in the first generation of offspring, or it may happen many generations later. On most world, tieflings are rare, but on Patchwork they are common .
Basic Information
Anatomy
Tieflings appear as their mortal progenitors with fiendish aspects. No two look alike, even in the case of twins (or other multiple births.) Horns, tails, and wings are common, but other, less substantial traits are possible. These traits usually are derived from the fiendish ancestry in some way, but are neither dictated nor governed by such simple constraints.
Additional Information
Social Structure
Unlike most worlds, where tieflings are often openly discriminated against, on Patchworks tieflings tend to be judged as individuals. This does not mean that everyone will be comfortable with "obvious demon-spawn" walking around, but such attitudes are usually the exception in most places. (The key word there being usually.)
Note: This article details tieflings as they appear on Patchwork. For details on their game statistics, see the Tiefling entry on d20pfsrd or the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Advanced Race Guide.
GM Game Notes:
The default tiefling raceAPG assumes a crossing of fiend and a human. If a player desires to create a tiefling that is not of human descent, please consult with me and we will work out specific details.
