Patchwork is a nexus world – a meld of races, classes, and cultures from many different locations. The world is slightly unstable and subject to change – sometimes slowly, sometimes overnight. Not only are all the beings in this world from somewhere else, but the very land itself is as well! Everyone here has a tale of their ingress, but egress seems to be only a rumor. Those that seek a way home seem to have an almost insurmountable task ahead of themselves. This is a world where everyone is a refugee and one of the largest challenges is simply building up a civilization from nothing.
