These creatures are rarely witnessed in their entirety, but the legends tell of enormous tentacled monstrosities that dwell in the deeps. Some ships report large tentacled creatures that destroy vessels and drag them beneath the waves, but whether these are the same creatures that feature in the stories of godlike beasts from the darkest waters is not known.
