Half orcs are a reasonably common race in the world (though they tend to congregate together more often than they associate with other races). They tend to get along best with humans and other near-human races (half-elves, dragonborn,  or tieflings ). Most half orcs prefer life as a more civilized race than their chaotic orc brethren and put their significant physical power to good use.
Most people are not outright racist against half-orcs, but many have had bad experiences with Orc-kind and thus are a little extra cautious in their dealings with half-orcs. This is really only common in outlying areas where they are less common; the more populous cities tend to treat half-orcs as just other people. They're particularly respected for their hardiness and ability to handle grueling work in poor conditions.
