The Great Battle of Dairy

Military: Battle

1349UC

The governments of Dairy-On-Moonrise and Dairy-On-Stardust completely lose control of their militias, who each go to attack the other town.
After several days, the Curdoligists meet to try and regain control of the area, as the govenrments have failed.

The militias were compsed of the young and the bored. Stories of generational conflict were repeated at the local pubs and escalated.   A chance escape of a bull from Dairy-On-Startdust, and breaking into a farm in Dairy-On-Moonrise, caused suspicion that the prize-winning dairy cow gave birth to a half-breed that was "no good".   It is unsure who or what caused the first fire, however each militia takes it as a threat and attacks the other town, setting buildings, farms and storehouses on fire. The town leaders are too engaged with the rage to be able to tell the militias to stand down, so the fires and skirmishes continue for days.   The Curdologists, at that time an unorganized group of believers in the Spirits of the Caseiculture, take it upon themselves to restore order in the towns and to protect the remaining knowledge of farming and cheesemaking in the area.
