Sangunati

Sangunati is an innate magical ability someone is born with.

Not everyone is born with a Sangunati and doesn't usually pass from father to son through the generations. When it does, it is called Lineage Magic, a form of Sangunati which is often much weaker than normal Sangunati. While the ability itself can't really be passed down through the generations like the Lineage Magic, the birth with a Sangunati can be. It is rare but does happen.
