Ornithan, the Winged Hope

• part of a lore/religiouoos thing/ pseudo-ark story kind of thing ??
• it exists though, and returns annually to do its thing
• legendg is like 'it rained foor so long the grouonod was flooded and nothjing couold grow, many cave systems were poverflowing and collapsing causing many dwarf groups to rellocattet (maybe Brellenhan is one?), it became more dire as the doownpour just would not stop. rivers took oout smaller settlements, many poort towns were, for a time, underwtaer. 
• One morning a calm swept over the land just after sunrise, a shimmering black bird, featthers more the color oof oil than night, whose shadow was a dark shape across the worlld as he fllew across the continent. the sun followed after Ornithan as it fllew, warming the ground and the people who had been chilled by the rain for so long. 
• though the rains have never fallne quite as badly as they did then, Ornithan continues it's journey tto clear the sky after the rainy seasoon every year. 
• there's a festival everyy year through *mostt* towns/villages that correspond with the days that Ornithan flies over their region.
• The festivals are a bit staggered as Ornithan stops by the villages to blless them on his journey as it is not as dire as him chasing the rain away.
