krallinite
Krallinite is a versatile metal found deep within the depths of the underworld, thousands of meters below the surface.
History
Krallinite was first discovered by Shorian explorers in the year 722, when they went on an expedition deep into the tunnels of the underworld. When the explorers brought samples back up, the Shorian government took it and began researching it. They examined it's properties and found that it was remarkably strong, even stronger than steel. They then began attempting to create new alloys with it. They soon discovered that adding about a small amount of krallinite to steel or iron created an extremely strong alloy that could be used in armour that could stop bullets. This allow is called durnium, and would change warfare forever. The technology of this new metal was kept secret by the Shorians, and they secretly created factories to mass-produce durnium armour and arming soldiers with it. By 738 they had completed their new army, and set out to re-conquer their long lost lands. They set out and marched north, and by 740 they had conquered all of Arctus. Soon after this in 742 other nations began discovering krallinite and started creating durnium. It was also discovered that extremely strong alloys could be created with krallinite and bronze too, which had similar properties to steel durnium but a bronze-like colour.Appearance
Krallinite is a metal which naturally forms in spheres of various size deep underground. Krallinite is green/yellow, with ripples of dark green running throughout it. Krallinite is also very shiny.Mining
Krallinite is commonly accessed with long elevators that run down naturally formed tunnels, as there are many natural shafts already in existence.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
