Shorian

Shorians are the people from the Shorian Empire.
The Shorians value strength, hard working, and ingenuity the most. They've developed a glorious civilization because of this, their mighty empire, the Shorian Empire ruled all of the north of the midlands for 600 years, and they alone advanced technology far further than anyone ever had before. The Shorians are very proud of their glorious past, and they often view themselves as better than everyone else, because they have undeniably contributed more to the world than anyone else.
The Shorians originate on the north east coast of the Isonian sea, in southern Borea. between -1000 to -200 they were divided into a series of powerful city states. These city states fought each other constantly until one city conquered the rest and formed the Shorian Empire. The Shorian empire spread far across the midlands. When their empire fell there were still Shorians left over, and because of this there are still many Shorians around the world. Most Shorians live in the New Shorian Empire (NSE).
Shorians generally are very tall and large people, they most often have dark brown/black hair and dark eyes, but very light skin.

Culture

Culture and cultural heritage

The culture of the Shorian empire is heavily shaped by their environment. In a land of frozen mountains, cold dark forests, stormy seas, heavy snowfall and a usually cloudy and stormy sky has shaped the shorian culture into what it was then and still is now. The shorians used many dark blue colours and their music is deep and slow, inspired by the cold and dark land they're from.

Art & Architecture

The architecture of the Shorian empire was mostly made out of stone and metal because they wanted everything they made to last a long time. Shorian houses usually had roofs that reach nearly to the ground and reach a peak in the middle of the house, the arches on buildings were made with stones forming a triangle shape, although they used arches when they needed too. The ornate designs of the buildings are made up of straight lines with sharp angles, and commonly decorated with runes, Shorian cloths also used similar designs.
