Cratonia

Cratonia is a continent from the first layer of the outlands. The main distinguishing factor of Cratonia as apposed to other continents is it's trees and grasslands made up of beautiful purple/blue plants instead of green plants.

Climate

Cratonia is generally a warm continent, but even where it reaches the equator it still doesn't really get "hot" it just gets warm, and the further north area is still temperate.

Countries of Cratonia

Most of central Cratonia is controlled by a large republic, and there are some city states on the south coast. The northeast/east coast is controlled by the Merindian Empire, which set up colonies there to harvest it's magical water.

Geography

Running along the east coast, the southwest coast, the northwest coast, and the southeast coast there are mountain ranges, these mountains are rather small, and are mostly covered in plant life. Around these mountains there are densely forested hilly regions that are broken up by large rivers, and beyond the hilly regions in the center of the continent there is a flat area which is mostly covered in tropical forests with patches of grasslands. In the center of the continent there is also a large lake that's water has healing properties.

Fauna & Flora

Cratonia is covered in forests made up of purple and/or blue leaved trees, grass, ferns, and basically any plant that would normally be green is purple or blue on Cratonia. The animals of Cratonia consist of various species of dinosaurs and pterosaurs. These dinosaurs seem to have a larger amount of feathers than other dinosaurs, and the feathers are much more colourful than other dinosaurs, the same also applies to the pterosaurs on the continent.

Natural Resources

Cratonia has a standard amount of natural resources, and other than a high amount of lumber it has one commodity which people want from it, it's water. The rivers and lakes of Cratonia are made up of the freshest, cleanest water ever known, and on top of that the water tastes delicious and sweet, and drinking large amounts of it has no negative health effects. The water of Cratonia also makes magic more potent, and can even temporarily awaken magic skills in people who previously didn't know how to use magic, and on top of this it is has the amazing property of making people heal from wounds faster. The Merindian Empire has some colonies in the north and east coasts of Cratonia, where they collect the water and sell it for a huge profit.
The source of this magic water is from the many great blooms found all around the continent. These great blooms are much higher in number on Cratonia and they produce large amounts of magic water that flow out in rivers.
