Lord Mal Holden
Lord Mal is on a quest for meaning. His whole life has been one of useless opulence. He wants something more. He just has no idea what, and would prefer that it not cut into his lifestyle more than absolutely necessary.
High Concept: Life in Every Breath
Trouble: Easily Perturbed
Additional Aspects:
- Likes New Things
Aspects: Flair: 3, Haste 2, Guile 2, intellect 1, Force 1, Focus 0
Conditions:
- Wealthy (5 - sticky) - These boxes represent your access to material wealth that enables you to get the upper hand when navigating society. Mark a box of Wealthy when you use your wealth as described using your stunts. Recover one box of Wealthy at the beginning of each session. You may also use Wealthy as a unique approach when money is the most direct approach to solving a problem. The bonus Wealthy provides as an approach is equal to the number of unchecked boxes in Wealthy you have. At the conclusion of the action in which you successfully use wealthy as an approach (they take the money), mark a box of Wealthy. : 00000
- Stress (Fleeting 6): 000000
- In-Peril (Sticky): 0
- Doomed (Lasting): 0
- Indebted (Sticky 5): 00000
Stunts:
- Big Spender: If your financial strength can be applied to a situation, you may mark a single box of Wealthy to give a +2 bonus to Create Advantage and Overcome actions.
- Crass Consumerism: Mark one or more boxes of Wealthy to declare ownership of something if the need arises. One box is sufficient for any commonly available good, or even a set of items if they are not very expensive. Three boxes permit declaring ownership of a rare, specialty, or luxury item. Marking five boxes lets you buy outright a ship, land, a building, or even a company. Yes, you can straight up Bruce Wayne your way through life.
- Ready Creditors: Mark one or more boxes of Indebted to recover an equal number of boxes of Wealthy. You now owe a moneylender. You can let the GM decide who that is, or role-play finding one. But you usually won’t have a lot of fuss finding one unless your house has chronic debt problems.
- No Bless Ob-lee Cheese: The common people differ to you. Out of respect? Maaaybeee. But definitely because the guard will take your word over theirs in almost any situation. The peasantry also goes out of their way to accommodate you, as you are expected to be a heavy tipper, which you can do without impacting your Wealthy status unless you go particularly wild. Not tipping well can actually cause reputation problems with the lower classes and even peers if you do so chronically enough.
- Lettered: The character can read and write proficiently.
- Staff: You have minions in your service. Up to a 6-pack, with 1 stress per minion, and a +1 in two approaches (the same two for each minion). Staff does not benefit from milestones.
- Entourage (Creation Stunt): This stunt allows the creation of a personal staff member as a minor NPC with a single aspect and a +2 in one approach. The minion thereafter gains Milestone rewards when you do. Unless you are in completely impossible circumstances, you may at any time mark a box of Wealthy, and declare their convenient arrival at the scene. Multiple purchases of this stunt can get you additional such minions. -- Mercy Havvok, general badass. Has a Longsword and bow +2 Force
- No Detectable Mercy (Refresh): Mercy also has a +2 in Guile.
Refresh: 2
Items: Longsword and Bow (with an abundance of arrows).
