Flinx Dog

These playful dogs stand about one foot (about 29 cm) at the shoulder. Their short legs give them a long bodied appearance. They are also 25 lbs (about 11 kgs) of playful energy that can live around sevety-five years.
Beautiful coats of fawn and white hard-textured fur that is weatherproof covers their second undercoat providing them warmth in winter. This under coat is known to shed away after winter and grow back in during the fall. The shedding period is a time of scratching and rolling to get rid of all that ticklish loose fur.
Unlike other dogs, a Flinx Dog is sapient, able to comprehend many languages. Unfortunately, they cannot speak these language as they are limited to the sounds and motions of a dog. Still, they do very well at getting meanings across and, on occassion, have scratched words on the ground with their paws.
In addition to being sapient, they are magical, able to teleport short distances, usually about 10 feet (about 3 meters). Rarely, especially when stressed, this distance can wildly fluctuate and a Flinx Dog may find itself appearing in some strange or far away place.
