Regular Form: In its regular form, the Vault-Breaker operates as a standard crossbow, capable of striking targets with deadly accuracy up to 50 meters away. It deals piercing damage of 1d12+3, and its precise construction grants a +10 bonus to hit. The bolts fired from this crossbow are known for their unerring accuracy, making it a formidable weapon in the hands of a skilled marksman.
Balista Form: When the Vault-Breaker unfolds into its more powerful shape, it transforms into a fearsome handheld ballista. This metamorphosis is a sight to behold, and the wielder can feel the energy coursing through the weapon. However, the power comes with a cost, as excessive use of this feature can risk the crossbow's integrity.
In its ballista form, Vault-Breaker can launch a single large ballista bolt at incredible distances of up to 200 meters. Despite the immense power, the wielder must exercise caution, as using this ability several times within a short time span may strain the weapon, potentially leading to catastrophic consequences.
One Man Army Set: Upon closer inspection, the wooden parts of the Vault-Breaker bear an inscription: "1/3rd of the One Man Army set." This cryptic marking suggests that the crossbow is part of a legendary set of weaponry that, when united, grants its bearer unparalleled strength and prowess.
