As for his magical powers, Hector's journey into the arcane arts was, well, more of a shopping spree. Instead of tedious years of studying and practice, he simply threw bags of gold at the most prestigious magical institutions until they reluctantly accepted him. His spells are often flashy and impressive, though seasoned wizards can't help but cringe at his lack of proper technique.

However, the danger for a novice warlock trying to harness such a primordial entity cannot be overstated. The Infernal Tar Elemental's power is beyond comprehension, and its essence, while contained, is not truly under Hector's control. With every attempt to draw power from it, Hector risks losing himself to the overwhelming torrent of wild magic. The consequences of mishandling such power could be catastrophic, not just for Hector but for the entire realm.
Recognizing his inadequacy in true magical prowess, Hector also wields a few powerful items to defend himself. One such item is the dangerous Staff of Wildfire. Etched with ancient runes and pulsating with fiery energy, the staff grants Hector the ability to summon and control flames, despite his ineptitude in spellcasting. However, even with this staff, Hector's control over the raging flames is unpredictable, and it's not uncommon to see him accidentally setting his own elaborate outfits ablaze during a supposed "grand entrance."
