Mythology & Lore

Caracar's death was necessary in order to liberate its soul for a greater journey, which takes place amidst the stars. once the stars are united, Caracar will return again to resurrect its shell and lead a new age of unity and glory.
the spirits of the righteous are thought to travel to Caracar when they die, to serve the Stellar Supplicancy in whatever manner they are best suited, before their return to the world. But first one must make it to the city - lost souls wander the darkness of the sky, angry ghosts.
Grasshopper Knights are identified almost as demonic, despite the death being framed positively.
New Caracar is a holy city to this religion.

Divine Origins

many versions of this faith arose after Caracar fell - either newly-formed, or else developing from existing Caracar-cults. the dominant version is heavily influenced by the pre-existing constellation-faiths of Old Tchep, as evidenced by the similarities to the Tchepec faith.

Worship

Pilgrimage to New Caracar is not demanded, but is still far from uncommon.
Funerals involve orienting the body to the current position of Caracar in the sky, incantations of guidance, recital of the deceased's deeds and attestations of their worth, and (in some traditions) cremation.
Astrology is considered a means of messaging between Caracar and the world, as well as reflective of the course of the war for Stellar Supplicancy. horoscopes are taken seriously at every level of society.
each area celebrates a traditional date when they were included into the Supplicancy, something like a day of national pride.

Political Influence & Intrigue

The Whispers helped to shape and create this religion, although their control over its doctrine as lived is now tenuous, but are still considered to be respected (where they are known about at all).
in Antepar, the priests have enormous control over politics, as they administer the meritocratic tests for the bureaucracy.
