Storybook Ending: The Dragon’s Bargain

General Summary

Milo, Azim, Roger and Asano gathered together to go seek a lost library book. They discussed the problem of Sovereignty papers. Milo suggested using forgeries, but Asano was adamant that they follow the law. He pressed them firmly on the matter, even going so far as to pay for the paperwork himself. Upon arriving at the Grand Library, Asano payed for the Right of Personhood and the Right of Passage for himself, Milo, Azim and Aldrik, Azim's dragonkin companion. With paperwork in hand, they headed to the library to learn more of the missing book.
Inside the library, they were told that the imp headed north with the book. Milo found a few hairs the imp left behind, allowing Azim to scry on its location, to teleport them there. But before they left the library, they did some research on imps to be better prepared. Upon leaving the library, they headed to Warhaven to sleep for the night, then teleported out the next day. When they arrived, they triggered a glyph of warding, and the imp disappeared. However, a daemon appeared nearby, revealing that is was actually the one who took the book. It baited them into two more glyphs of warding before they managed to defeat it. Asano nearly died, but was barely saved. As Azim went to heal him, Roger picked up the book and they were all teleported into the story: The Dragon's Bargain.
The party heard a disembodied voice reading the story to them, then found themselves standing in the place of royal guards to a king and queen, just as undead assassins arrived to kill them. The party fought desperately to save the king and queen from a graveknight attack. They were successful in defending the royal couple, but a massive undead attack was launched against the city. The king, in desperation, made an ancient bargain with a blue dragon. In exchange for destroying the undead armies, the king agreed to promising the servitude of the firstborn of the kings until the end of time. So, the dragon destroyed the armies of undead.
Years later, the dragon came to call the debt due. However, the royal guard decided to try to slay the dragon in order to save the firstborn princes of the kingdom from servitude. In a vicious battle, where Roger nearly died and most of the party was severely hurt, the dragon was heroically beheaded by Roger, who burst up from the ground in a flash of magic. However, upon the death of the dragon, the floating island that was it's lair lost its magic and crashed to the ground, destroying the kingdom they sought to defend. The destroyed kingdom sank into the ground, forming Dragonmere, or so the tale goes.
Upon finishing the story, the party reappeared in the place where they had found the book. Sitting on the ground next to Roger was a bag of holding, filled with various treasures. They collected the book, and the bag, then teleported back to the Grand Library. There, Asano and Roger did some historical research on heroes of the past, then they returned to Tetrodora.
