Mama Oda's Out for Blood!
General Summary
Upon seeing that someone named Mama Oda was advertising work, Alik Shrekar, Owner and Proprietor of Shrekar Solutions Inc., gathered his friends for a trek to the swamps of New Saltmarsh. Farouk, recalling a dangerous encounter upon the seas, convinced the group to travel by foot before taking two rowboats into the swamps. The swamps, however, are not without their dangers, and both Alik and Javida became sickened by Bogwids. Mama Oda’s house was easy to spot and they were welcomed inside by a pale and listless man wearing a bowtie and no shirt. Stepping inside, the party was assaulted by a nauseating smoke which filled the air. Mama Oda welcomed the travelers and asked them to leave behind one item of value as a sign of good faith that they would return with her requested item and gave them a map. Heading into the plains, the party encountered a pair of Worgs. The Stonebones smashed with vigor, Fosco relied on stealth and throwing rocks, Toa showed off his skill of suffocation, Farouk and his wolf companion ensured the enemy would not escape, and Alik let his animated objects do the heavy lifting. After the fight, a rustling in the bushes revealed an armadillo that turned out to be the Silverblood Lycanthrope when it shifted into it’s Halfling form. The party made the Halfling nervous by asking for her blood but Toa reassured her that they meant her no harm and Farouk deftly healed her small wound after. No one asked her name but did encourage her to visit a northern city called Xiomara. Mama Oda thanked the travelers and encouraged them to return for another task.
