Island Hopping
General Summary
Lorenzo called upon Evette, Ava and Sieglyn to join him in a new adventure. His exploration on Ruintale Isle had revealed hints of further islands to the south. It was Lorenzo's intention to find this island and explore it. As a group, they headed to speak to Captain Whiskers of the Cornered Rat. Sitting down in the good Captain's cabin, Lorenzo revealed everything he had learned about the island to this point and his intentions. As they were discussing this a ruckus began outside the cabin. At first, Fishbait informed them of a rat on board. After a couple of minutes he returned with Axel, who had been enjoying his newfound wild shaping abilities to sneak along with the party. More discussion continued, and plans were made to set sail the next day.
The first leg of their journey went by quietly, and they turned south near Ruintale Isle into the unknown. A day into previously uncharted waters and they were attacked by indignant merfolk. After a relatively lengthy pitched battle, the merfolk swarming the deck of the ship were expelled, many of them slain. They sailed on, discovering another island. They managed to circumnavigate this island and discovered a shipwreck on its northern shore. Upon closer inspection, they were attacked by a ghostly apparition upon the decks of the Seraph, a ship unknown to them. They managed to kill the ghost, but not before the ghost killed Ava, her body shriveled and aged into that of an old woman.
Deciding that recovering their ally was more important than further exploring on the island, beyond a quick look by Axel flying quickly as a bird, they sailed back to Xiomara, where they called upon the services of a local druid named Bullgup to resurrect her, as he had previously offered those services on the open market. Ava was returned to life in the body of a Dwarf, and they decided this was enough for this exploratory adventure.
