Dawnbringer, Part 3
General Summary
From the Journal of High Druid Falconmouth:
Strange folk today in the House of the Moon. I swear, every time I come to this city... Anyway, I was approached by a moon brother and a quiet human about travel to Elversult. Mercifully, they did not interrupt one of Naneatha's longer sermons and I was able to pray in peace, though the brother, Malen, did wipe off the makeup he was using to age himself. Probably a Pandoran thing, I didn't bother to ask. Since they showed respect, I granted their request to travel the following night. The stones at the meeting place later told me they're seeking some artifact of Lathander but much of what they said was doublespeak. It appears they wish to be rid of one companion, a paladin, but he was instead relegated to guarding their cartographer, who nearly didn't arrive in time from Oghma's Font of Knowledge since she had to complete a second copy for them. Apparently they spent some time arguing over the best way to travel and chose to seek me out. I suppose I should be flattered.
I delivered them and saw the heretics' sun for myself. Indeed, it's real, and it blocks the actual yellow disc. More reason to stay out of these sun-worshiper politics, there is enough concern with the Sisters. (I leave such glaring light to the mortals--I already tire of the city and wish to return to the moonlit trees of home.) I still had a few errands left, however, so I left them quickly and asked around Waterdeep about the group. A little bird (night owl, actually) told me that one of their company, a Rhal Stedrisk, purchased some thieving equipment from Xanathar's Guild. I can't help but wonder what I have unleashed in the Dragon Coast.
