Uthenar

Uthenar, The former Librarian was usurped from power by Vokolas the Eye and his follower Alexander the Draconic Nightmare. Uthenar was often revered by seers, sages and teachers of all walks of life. Those that sought to uncover lost knowledge and share it with the world were often worshipers of Uthenar. Uthenar guided civilization on Terran Sah-lie leading the world into an age of prosperity and knowledge that was shattered by Dolorel when he invaded. Uthenar’s following was left shattered and scattered after the fall of Terran Sah-lie. Those few followers of his that fled to Pan-Tyrel worked to rebuild his following among those that seek knowledge. Uthenar was largely worshiped among the Arcanum Council. Uthenar’s followers gathered knowledge in great libraries where people may enter and seek knowledge so long as they leave something of worth within.

Uthenar fell when the Eye sought to steal his position among the gods. Using a servant known as Alexander, who manipulated a group of adventurers into helping him, they performed a ritual to siphon the Librarians power for the Eye, consuming all his knowledge and completely subsuming the faith of Uthenar by replacing their knowledge of him with its own existence. With no followers, Uthenar disappeared.

Appearance

Common representation of the Librarian has him as a graying, elderly man of welcoming composure, like a favorite teacher. Wreathed in robes that billow out into various scrolls and books filled with glyphs and runes.

Commandments of the Librarian

• Unmask the secrets of those that seek the pervasion of knowledge and unveil them to the world.
• Uphold and teach the importance of perception, reason and truth in guiding one’s path and decisions.
• Condemn those that lie, even among your allies, for evil grows where secrets lie and people obscure the truth.

Holy Orders

The Preservers are an order of knowledge seekers that gather and maintain a large number of the libraries across Dul’vesh, they often work with the Arcanum council. The Preservers are led by Archivist Morgan Halt and gather a following of just about any who seek knowledge and to protect it.

Holy Days

Uthenar has no public Holy day for his following was largely shattered during the rise of Dolorel. Though his worship by intellectuals bears little resemblance to the forefront innovations of the past it slowly is on its way to a revival.
