The Warden

Matern, The Warden, the matron of all nature and the guardian of civilization, Matern is often idealized as the lead deity that holds the most sway over the flows of nature and the element. The followers of Matern are most common folk and farmers. Matern is the Patron to many warriors ranging from druids to primal barbarians to clerics and paladins. Matern is worshiped principally by The Coven of Matern, a group of cleric, druids and paladin that seek to spread the Warden’s influence among all.

Matern is famous among her followers for standing against Dolorel and holding open the veil between planes for her people to flee to Pan-tyrel and then sealing the veil between planes preventing Dolorel from following them. The Coven of Matern was the primary organization working with the Arcanum Council to help rebuild civilization and promote a balance between nature and civilization.
