The Old Bear
Zohir, There once was a bear in the woods who came under fire by hunters simply by happenstance. The bear did not move to attack, rather it waited for a moment as the hunters released arrows and spears on it. After withstanding the attack momentarily, the bear retreated into the woods, moving so fast it eluded the hunters. But the hunters knew it was injured, it must be wounded somewhere. And so the hunters returned with the village in tow to end the bear. They came upon the bear in a clearing, accompanied by three newly-born cubs, wrestling in the dawn’s light. The bear watched as the village approached, who soon took notice of the cubs. The hunters locked eyes with the bear. Stepping forward towards the wounded bear, one of the hunters raised his spear and drove it into one of the cubs. One by one, all of the cubs were killed. Finally, the village came upon the bear, seeing the sad look in its eyes as they killed it.
Amidst the skinning and harvesting of the bears, the mother bear begins to glow and man steps out of the bear’s carcass, so radiant that it you could not see his true form for fear of going blind. The being proclaimed, “You have done wrong by this bear. The senseless murder of this poor mother bear and her cubs must not go unpunished. Here I pass Judgement and grant the victims the right to decide the punishment” and with a resounding knock the man slammed his Staff-like hammer against the ground causing it to shake, the Bear and her cubs began to glow.
One by one each stood and walked forward to meet out their judgment upon their murders, one by one the bears slew their killers. After the last of the hunters fell, The man shouted out, “And thus judgment has been passed and the punishment levied” he turned with his blinding radiance.
“And beware wrongdoers and fear the bears, the Ahorfandi, they are my eyes and ears, my judges and executioners” with that he raised his great hammer and brought it down and with a thundering crash brought lightning down with it, when the flash and smoke cleared the man and the bears were gone.
