Reshiliah - "The Ashen Queen"
Reshiliah is the Ashen Queen, the Scion of the Sultana, and the Stillborn Cinder. In the time of The Ruination, the Eternal Flame held in the sacred vault of the then ruling Sultana Ayasellah Mihelar Khalidlah II began to dwindle in intensity until it was barely more than the size of a small candle’s flame. The Sultana in a rare act of self sacrifice committed a great act of honor and threw herself upon the flame, causing the flame to roar back to life. The Sultana Ayasellah was a charred husk formed of ash, and from her dying remains the last ember erupted into life, becoming the god Tizkhan.
The remnants of Ayasellah clinged to existence, hungering for the warmth of life. The ashen husk clung hard enough to linger into a state of purgatory between life and death. Gone was Ayasellah, Sultana of the City of Brass. All that remained was a ravenous avatar of flame and destruction. The goddess Reshiliah was born.
Reshiliah is a wild and cruel goddess that hungers for the flame of Tizkhan. She hungers for the warmth of the Eternal Flame, and yearns above all else to be whole again. Reshiliah is said to have siphoned the heat and flame of 10,000 efreeti as she was chased out of the City of Brass by the guards of the deceased Sultana. There she carved a path across the Plane of Fire until resting in the Cauldron of the First Phoenix. When she awoke finally after several months, her cries ignited fires across the universe, and caused volcanic eruptions within the Plane of Fire.
Reshiliah despite her pitiful existence is a venomous and wicked being, who wishes to spread her pain and suffering to others. She despises existence as much as those who fall victim to the spread of her fires, and those who remain afterwards to grieve their loss. She attracts only the most zealous and cruel of followers and pyromaniacs, of which many efreeti would likely be counted if not for their fear of her hunger for their inner flame.
Reshiliah is said to look like a banshee or ghoulish nightmare mockery of the once muscular and beautiful Sultana of the efreeti, a mixture of craggy charred skin and wreathed in a cloud of poisoning smoke and choking ash. Her footballs leave trails of fire in her wake, and she drags behind her a scorched and partially melted scimitar blade.
Areas of Concern: fire, smoke, ash, wildfires, volcanic eruptions Divine Realm: Cauldron of the First Phoenix, Elemental Plane of Fire Alignment: Neutral Evil Typical Follower Alignments: LE, NE, CE Edicts: Destroy your foes with fire, inflict pain on others with flame, enslave the Efreeti Anathema: Extinguish destructive blazes, feel remorse for your actions Doctrines and Beliefs: Reshiliah does not instill virtues in her followers and instead demands few things. That they are to burn and destroy, and to withhold against this out of remorse or compassion is to invoke her wrath. Reshiliah desires that her followers spread destruction and flame wherever they go, as the destruction they cause in her name fills the always present emptiness inside her. Reshiliah also encourages the rare few among her loyal followers to enslave the foul efreeti if they are able to, and slay them as sacrifices to feed and satiate her desire for revenge and hollow existence. Worshippers: Reshiliah does not possess the large organization of followers that her “offspring” Tizkhan possesses, instead attracting arsonists, pyromaniacs, fire mages, red dragons, and other unsavory followers to her banner with the promise of granting them the destructive power of flame they so desire.
