Ferosyn - "The Iron Reaper"

Ferosyn is known as the Iron Reaper, the Blade of Time, and Corroded Herald. A less commonly revered god than most in Palurin, Ferosyn is entwined with the relentless forces of metal decay, rust, and the inevitability of death. Ferosyn is revered as a deity who guides mortals through the transformative journey of entropy.   Ferosyn's form is made of rusting iron, his body like that of an arachnid with sharp blades for appendages.
Areas of Concern: metal, death, inevitability, decline, age   Divine Realm: Palice of Patina, Elemental Plane of Metal   Alignment: LN   Typical Follower Alignments: LN, N, CN, sometimes LG or LE   Edicts: accept the inevitable, put the suffering out of their misery, accept endings as beginnings   Anathema: artificially extend something's existence or lifespan, resist the effects of time and decay, allow the fear of death to hinder your growth   Doctrines and Beliefs: The followers of Ferosyn acknowledge the beauty in age and the weathering of time, letting the gentle touch of decay soften the sharp edges of existence. Rust becomes a metaphor for the gradual erosion of life, and mortals are encouraged to recognize the decay that weaves through the fabric of existence, understanding that it is both an impartial force and a testament to the transience of all things.   Ferosians see death not as an adversary but as the completion of a step on the cosmic cycle, understanding it is a transition rather than an end. Some worshippers embrace the nihilistic approach to their views on life when they follow Ferosyn, while others seek meaning and beauty in the face of life's fleeting nature. Regardless Ferosians take the approach to avoid the fear of death, viewing it as weakness and to endure like metal. As an extension of this Ferosians tend to embrace age as it comes, avoiding cosmetic enhancements of mundane and magical origin alike.   Ferosyn and his followers have a tendency to dislike the undead, but not to the extreme that followers of Immortias do. In the eyes of the Iron Reaper, the undead are a perversion of the cycle of decay and inevitable end, artificially prolonging the existence of that which should be dead. Because of this raising undead is anathema to Ferosians, as is the magic of golemancy on living creatures. Healing others however does not fall under this limitation, as injury and disease are not seen as byproducts of time's passage in the same way.   Worshippers: Ferosyn's worshippers tend to be races with long lifespans like elves, dwarves, gnomes and more due to experiencing and embracing death as they age many times over. Temples to Ferosyn echo with the creaking of rusted gates and mournful winds, where solemn gatherings attract those who seek contemplation in the face of life's inevitable end.
