Bronkall - "The Great Architect"

Bronkall is the Great Architect, Forge Father, and the creator of the Axiomites. Bronkall is said to be a divine construct originally fabricated in the forges of Mechanus by the will of Primus that has since acquired a great will and personality of his own. Many think of Bronkall as a piece of or representation of the universe seeking to understand itself. One of Bronkall’s first actions upon awakening was to set out and restructure the realm of Nirvana after the ravages of The Ruination began to lay cracks even in the foundations of reality in the realm of purest order.   Since then, Bronkall ignored the will of Primus and placed the souls of the dead within Nirvana inside new forged bodies, creating the Axiomites and earning his nickname. Bronkall’s motivation for this is known typically only by his followers, and that was in order to restore order and stability to the wider universe, the servants of such a cause should appear familiar and recognizable by mortals. The faces of perfection and unity should remain consistent with those of mortals, for to drift into alien and inhuman construct forms as the rest of the Aeons do risks them drifting too far from the original purpose of their creation long ago: to maintain a world fit for the lives of mortals. As such Axiomites often look like regular humanoids and can be easily mistaken for a magically gifted individual. Whether or not Primus seeks eventual retribution for the errant behavior of its creation and its progeny is unknown, or if Bronkall is acting exactly as Primus truly intends.
Areas of Concern: Laws, invention, artificial life, intellectual apotheosis   Divine Realm: The Perfect City, Nirvana   Alignment: Lawful Neutral   Typical Follower Alignments: LG, NG, LN, N   Edicts: Seek to improve yourself, encourage cooperation, follow the rule of law   Anathema: Place conflict between ideological differences over people's lives, treat artificial life as lesser than organic life   Doctrines and Beliefs: Followers of Bronkall, Lawbearers, believe in the safeguarding of civilization through the establishment of order via cities, laws, and united culture. Where Primus takes care of cosmic law, Bronkall focuses his attention more on the laws of humanoids, knowing that it is impossible for mankind to wholly possess the level of self-denial and asceticism that goes into being a creator of pure order like the many Aeons of Nirvana.   Lawbearers do not believe in the enslavement of sentient artificial life, be they technological or magical in origin, save for those that are rampant and wild in their destruction of the world, and even then they prefer destruction rather than control over such dangerous things. This does not mean that they are entirely above the usage of golems or other constructs that typically need instruction to act at all, but they are hesitant to do so. This is because they believe the usage of golems and other artificial life for labor is to diminish their goal of order and united purpose towards a just world.   Lawbearers believe that their promotion of order comes with the sacrifice and labor of them and their fellow men, similar to the followers of Ishraki. Men are prideful creatures that often find purpose in their work; value the fruits of their labor, and to see society flourish through their collective efforts is a useful reward mechanism that golemancy diminishes. To weigh the duty of a healthy and orderly society on the shoulders of such constructs will no doubt lead to the degradation of the society and its people. At worst, it puts the wellbeing of such a society in the palm of what is likely a small and specific caste of people who may in time subjugate the populace, or risk deadly rebellion from constructs that reject the commands of those who enslave them.   Lawbearers also believe in a form of Numerology known as the Cypherian Will that many believe connects to the underlying layers of reality itself. Fabled words of power have been known to exist throughout history, and in many ways the Verbal components of most magic can be seen as lesser versions of these greater universe manipulating forces. Lawbearers know of this through the Axiomites, who are said to be creatures literally made of pure mathematical law. As a result Axiomites are seen as this Cypherian Will given form and purpose, like a universal truth made into a living and thinking entity.   Worshippers: Lawbearers come in many forms, commonly in those who find professions in lawmaking, architecture, public health and wellbeing, city guards, and more. Found all over the world since the emergence of Bronkall from the forges of Mechanus, Lawbearers are among the most common religious groups in modern civilizations as people flock to the growth and return of civilization, seeking shelter from the still lingering horrors of The Ruination.   Uniquely, dwarves in particular hold a heavier amount of worship towards Bronkall than others due to their typical cultural leanings towards a fair, orderly, and considerate society built on the backs of skilled laborers.   Lawbearers as people of order of course possess many enemies that reject authority either on principle or for their own selfish gain such as bandits, thieves, and other criminals. Bronkall and his followers also find conflict against the followers of Atropus where they show up, and are careful in the presence of those that give worship and favor to The Living Infinite. Bronkall also holds an enmity towards Kimyra, viewing her as a perversion of the natural order and life itself.
