Aurim - "The Gilded Sage"
Within the pantheon of successor gods born after the Ruination, Aurim is revered as the Gilded Sage, the Celestial Alchemist, and more. Her divine portfolio encompasses alchemy, creation and discovery, scientific knowledge, metal, and the concepts of wealth and prosperity. Due to her mercurial nature she is often known by various names across realms, embodying the transformative forces that balance material abundance with spiritual enlightenment.
Aurim shares a focus on wealth and skilled craftsmen similar to her lover Jezzerii, with some differences. Unlike the Jade Empress who focuses on wealth for the betterment of lawful societies, Aurim's focus resolves around the potential inherent in the things we perceive as wealthy. To Aurim, things have no true wealth if they are not possessing untapped potential or born from that realized potential. As a goddess of alchemy and discovery, a slab of metal is worthless without an enlightened mind to bring forth its potential. Aurim sees many things this way, save for gold, which she sees as possessing inherent purity and power.
Aurim is said to take many forms as befits her mood and mindset at any given time, flowing between states of liquid gold. Her faithful believe that when presenting herself to followers or individuals she wishes to guide spiritually, she takes a form most suited to ensuring that person(s) changes for the better. Most often she presents herself as a mortal woman wreathed in gold, as this usually relates better to those followers.
