Vircook Isles
Geography
The Vircook Isles are an archipelago of islands located between Ferallum and Orbesta. A tropical island with warm, humid weather. While the Eastern side of the island has been developed into the town of Old Ashton, the rest of the archpeligo is are islands are covered in lush rainforests, with towering coconut palms swaying in the breeze. The island features a mix of flat coral beaches and volcanic hills that offer breathtaking views. Pristine white sandy beaches encircle the island, meeting crystal-clear waters the locals work hard to maintain.
Just offshore, vibrant coral reefs teem with colorful marine life, creating a paradise for aquan who lives within it. Waterfalls cascade from the island's central highlands.
Ecosystem
The Vircook Isles contain lush, tropical ecosystems which the locals strive to maintain. The land is home to various colorful birds, reptiles, and insects that can not be found anywhere else in Pallet. Dangerous predators are hunted down by the locals to ensure the ecosystem remains stable and sustainable.
The waters surrounding the Isles are home to many Coral Reefs that house many species of marine life. Protected by the Aquan who live amongst them.
Localized Phenomena
While the Archipelago is not subject to the same Weather System Barriers the rest of the Continents of Pallet are subjected to, the Presence of the Island’s Ruler, Mukaga maintains the weather is a tropical paradise.
During times of Mukaga’s absence, The Vircook Isles are subjected to the same weather systems as Ferallum, including but not limited to snow.
Climate
The weather of the Vircook Isles is controlled by Mukaga. He keeps the weather in a tropical climate to encourage tourism, though he cannot prevent strong natural weather systems like Storms and Hurricanes from hitting the island.
Twice weekly Mukaga causes a downpour across the entire archipelago to ensure the islands remain moist.
History
The Vircook Isle is where Aquan and Land Dwellers first joined forces to fight back against the Demonic Invasion during the Arrival of Gallaland. The land was declared neutral territory to allow the intermingling of species on the island.
The Archipelago was later claimed by the Island Oni, Mukaga, who began turning the islands into a tropical paradise.
Tourism
The Eastern Islands of the Archipelago is home to the town of Old Ashton, a tropical town and resort where Land and Sea Dwellers live in harmony. The resort is run by the locals and is the largest source of income for the island, offering rest and relaxation for those who visit.
Along with the resort, people are attracted to the islands for other activities, such as snorkeling in the coral reefs, hiking the rugged jungle paths, heading out to the sea for whale watching, or just appreciating the unique cultures of the Aquan.
