Harkarl
Nestled among towering peaks and steep, craggy ridges, the land breathes with a wild energy, vibrant and untamed. Harkarl is a mountainous region, the rocky faces etched with the passage of time, adorned with ferns, mosses, and a plethora of flowering plants that cling tenaciously to the crevices. Sunlight filters through a tangle of branches from colossal trees, casting dappled patterns on the forest floor below and illuminating the rich greens of the foliage and the brilliant hues of wildflowers swaying gently in the mountain breeze.
The air here is crisp and invigorating, filled with the scent of pine and damp earth, mingling with the sweet fragrance of blossoms that thrive in the sun-dappled clearings. Streams of crystalline water carve through the land, cascading over rocks and forming serene pools where wildlife gathers. The sounds of rushing water and the calls of birds add to the symphony of nature, each note echoing through the deep valleys and open meadows.
Amidst this majesty, the terrain is a labyrinth of hidden paths and rocky outcroppings, allowing shelter to many. Creatures of all sizes, from mischievous woodland sprites to the occasional prowling mountain cat, call this land home, embodying the spirit of the wilderness.
In the higher altitudes, the vegetation becomes sparse but resilient, giving way to hardy shrubs and resilient grasses that cling to the rocks. Here, the views are breathtaking—stunning vistas stretch out towards the horizon, revealing a patchwork of valleys, forests, and the distant glimmer of lakes that reflect the brilliant blue sky.
At the heart of the region lies the fertile grasslands, framed by the rugged silhouettes of mountains that have been gradually reshaped over the years to create fertile farmland. In the center rises a prominent hill, crowned by the vibrant city of Gallic. Its terraced buildings, adorned with colorful gardens, cascade down the sloping sides of the hill, creating a harmonious blend of nature and civilization. The grassy plains surrounding the city are alive with the hum of agriculture, where farmers tend to their crops under the watchful eyes of the Sentinel Hill.
This gentle elevation not only serves as a bastion of trade and community but also offers stunning views of the sunlit grasslands and the distant peaks that once towered above. As the sun sets, the hill glows in the warm light, casting a welcoming ambiance over Gallic and its fields, inviting adventurers and trade.

Culture
Those who live in Harkarl celebrate past achievements through various gatherings, celebrations and rituals. Harkarl began as a desolate land, but through hard work and dedication, not only were many of the races brought together, but also began to thrive.
The various achievements of the people are thanked regularly through offerings and celebrations. The dead are honored, and superstition is widely spread. If one is to dishonor the dead, it is said that all of their accomplishments will disappear.
Public Agenda
Those of Harkarl are always seeking to better the lives of future generations. Not satisfied with their own fortune, they constantly think of the future, making decisions that they feel will make the lives of the next generation easier.
Whenever they succeed in something grand, they take the opportunity to enjoy the gifts and generosity the past generations gave them.
Assets
Being primarily mountainous territory, raw metals are widely available for those who wish to seek it. While there are no official mining companies and corporations, some tribes have come to mine out these veins, making their homes within the caves as they do. They use the ore to make weapons and tools in crude forges.
Entrepreneurs from outside Harkarl sometime sponsor these clans to mine for them, taking the ore and sending it to Gallic to be forged into tools, while paying the clan oftentimes less then what the ore is worth.
