Delgon

A Drowning Demon living in Old Ashton, Delgon is the owner and proprietor of “The Dive Bar”, a popular bar where Surface and Aquian can visit with Delgon’s unique ability to make the water around him breathable.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Like most Sarglagons, Delgon is a serpentine Devil. Its scales are a deep blue with large, purple dorsal fins on its back and tail fins. Where Delgon differs from other Sarglagons however is that instead of arms ending in tentacles, they instead end in claws capable of grasping and handling things.

Special abilities

Delgon has complete control over the area he claims as his lair, which is the Dive Bar and the 50 feet around the area. Within this area, he is capable of controlling the way liquids and air flows. Most Sarglagons use this control to create murkiness in their lairs, causing confusion and panic in their prey, but for Delgon he uses it to ensure that the patrons of the Dive Bar can breathe, and that the alcohol flows properly.
“It may surprise you, but ensuring the water of The Dive Bar remains clean is actually easier. It requires a lot less focus, more of an afterthought really.” Delgon stated in an interview. “To fill the lair with murk, a Sarglagon needs to feel the need to kill. That's normally the default thought for most of my kind, but… You can barely see through all that filth. It's not as advantageous as you would think. It's part of the reason why I came to Pallet in the first place.”
As Delgon is always business orientated, the liquids around The Dive Bar acts as Delgon wishes it, allowing both Surface and Sea Dwellers to eat, drink and breathe properly.

Apparel & Accessories

Instead of Clothes, Delgon grafts Coral Armor to his body similar to that of Athamuras. He likes to accessorize his fins with piercings and cuffs to make him appear more intimidating, sometimes making his graftings take the shape of sharks and other aquatic Predators.

Delgon is a recent arrival to Pallet, having only been on the Plane for roughly 30 years.
While going through rehabilitation, Delgon focused on business classes with Angelico, learning how to balance budgets and make connections. He wanted to use his natural ability to control liquids to create something that was impossible for others. With Angelico’s Guidance, he settled upon creating an underwater tavern and bar.
Shortly after graduating, Delgon heard of the founding of Old Ashton, and saw it as an opportunity to form the Bar he imagined during rehabilitation. It took some convincing for Mukaga, who was uncertain of the fiends true intentions, but he was eventually convinced to give Delgon a chance.

Morality & Philosophy

Delgon is extremely blunt in his manner of speaking, often not caring about the reaction he garners from. He is extremely business focused, with all his actions often contributing towards his business. He is a greedy and self-centered individual, but is not entirely uncaring, having a fondness of the community and the willingness to support where he can.
Like most barkeeps, Delgon is a good listener, capable of keeping secrets and offering advice. While blunt with his words, not sugar coating anything, he has a way of saying what people need to hear at the time. He tends to see things in black and white, seeing past emotions and pointing out the best course of action, even if it's hard.
While he is supportive toward the residents of Old Ashton, he tends to act coldly towards tourists, making them pay a premium to even enter The Dive Bar. He tends to have other employees work with tourists, only interacting with them when they approach him themselves.
He tends to be harsh towards those who wrong him. When in The Dive Bar, he tends to remove his influence from the offender, causing them to start to drown. He often tends to allow them to live, in most situations. Outside The Dive Bar, he tends to get into physical altercations when angered.
