The lead singer in Umisora, Carleck is a carefree individual who traveled across Pallet. Hailing from the peaks of Twilinet, Carleck loves sharing stories and playing games with his band mates, always striving to be the best he can be, at the expense of being a little absent minded.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Carleck shares his features with that of a falcon, with a sharp beak and his feathers dark brown with white highlights. He is tall and slender, with his wing span doubling his height while in flight.

Body Features

Carleck has a streamlined avian head with keen, falcon-like eyes and a sharp, hooked beak. His body is covered in sleek feathers of gray and brown hues, with large, powerful wings and a fan of tail feathers for agile flight. His hands and feet end in sharp talons, adding to his predatory, yet charismatic appearance. With his slender, lightweight build, he moves gracefully both on stage as the lead singer of Umisora and through the skies.

Special abilities

Carleck has the unique ability to imitate the voices of others, a skill he puts to full effect during performances to infuse his singing with emotion and feelings.

Apparel & Accessories

Unlike most other aarakocra, Carleck prefers to keep his body covered up instead of exposing his feathers to the open air. He tends to wear blue shirts and coats, with a white undershirt when out in public, coupled with a brown patterned breeches to match with his feathers.
During official public appearances, Carleck wears his Studded Leather Armor, a red and blue Raiment gifted to him from his band mates. Finally, he has a belt with various potions on them, mostly just throat spray and water.

Personal history

Despite everything that is known about Carleck, his past is largely a closely guarded mystery. When asked, he would explain that his past was largely uneventful, hence why he began traveling in the first place. He wanted to see things that he would never get to see, as well as share the music he created to a wider audience.

Along with music, Carleck enjoys collecting gemstones, not for the purposes of jewelry or riches, but as a geologist. As a creature of the sky, Carleck is often fascinated by unique stones, keeping a collection of them like a corvid would keep shiny things in their nest.
While music is his passion, stonework is his hobby. When he is working on lyrics for his next song, he can often be seen working on a small bust or figurine for his collection of fascinating people he met.

Personality Quirks

Carleck always keeps his entire body, save for his head, covered up at all times. Being a popular aarakocra bard, it was common for fans and followers to try to pin Carleck down, trying to rip a feather as a keepsake from him.
It became a genuine fear for Carleck, as it was a common occurrence, and his light build allowed people to easily pin him down and rip a few feathers out. At one point, Carleck had his wings plucked, and his feathers were sold off to the highest bidders.
Since then, he had surrounded himself with friends that could help back himself up. For all the popularity Carleck had, he lacked the strength to defend himself. It is said that this is the reason why Umisora formed in the first place was to help protect Carleck from weirdos.
