Legrange was an Elven astrologer, and the namesake for Legrangian Points, where the pull of the various asterae over (and, perhaps under) Palimpsest cancel out.
According to Fornax Mariner, it was theorised by Kashmir the Banished that accessing such points, where the asterae's interferrence cancelled out, would allow greater control over Summoning and Teleportation spells, perhaps allowing one to Plane Shift to Salsabil itself.
