Connie's Star Journal

As a Stargazer Oracle, Connie Furr gains her Oracle Spells through communing with her patron, Brambleson, the Prince of Rabbits in the form of starcharts. When in the menagerie, she drew star maps in the dirt of her cage, but she was gifted this journal by her new master Hugo Dargent when he took her to live with him at the Dargent Estate.

Connie's Star Journal

"Dear Bramble. Hi, it's Connie. You'll be happy to hear that I am no longer being kept in a cage. Thank you for the spells that you gave me for that. As you know, my escape attempt didn't exactly work, and I ran directly into the leg of one of the gnolls. But then I was purchased by one of the fanciest people I have ever seen. He's a noble and so far he seems nice, even though he works with the menagerie in some capacity... He told me I can call him Hugo, or Master Hugo if any of the other nobles are around. Especially his parents. They seem scary. I met his mum when he was bringing me in. She's got a smile that hasn't let the rest of her face know that she's smiling. And she says nice words in a way that makes you feel uneasy. I've not met the dad yet, but I've heard him shouting. Hugo also has some kind of snake concubine companion. I don't understand her language and Hugo says he can teach me but I don't really need a shared language to know to give her a wide bearth. So far, only Hugo seems nice around here, but I like being nearer the stars. And I can see you out his window sometimes. Hugo says I shouldn't speak about you with the other nobles. They don't like you here. He promises he will take me to an observatory. There's a huge one up at the top of the noble district. I'm really looking forward to that. I suppose I should let you go for now. Breakfast has just arrived and Hugo ordered lettuce especially for me. Not the Devilled kind - I need to be awake for the rest of the day. I hope you're doing okay, and aren't too lonely. I'll talk to you tomorrow. Best wishes, Connie."
