I sleep little, but I favour the morning.
What’s the first thing you notice about a person when you meet them?
Fear, most often.

I can crush it with the staff. No need to waste the energy channel on a minor pest.

At present, it would be to employ more draconian security throughout the library.
Tell me about your first kiss.
No.
Do you give people second chances?
If they convince me. Magnanimity can be a virtue.
Are you a cat person or a dog person?
I have a cat. Her name is Forecastle.
Do you think you’re attractive?
By most standards, not that it’s your business.
What’s your worst habit?
Terseness.
When was the last time you cried?
Afraid I can’t recall.
Are you a good liar?
No need.
What’s your biggest pet peeve?
Noise. Running. Improper library conduct.

Very melodramatic phrasing. Yes.

Words.

I expect to find out.
Did you have to grow up fast?
I would not say so.
Who do you look up to?
The many truthseekers and collectors of the past. Mostso the Sailor himself.

In many ways I have done. They were also academics.

Until recently I had yet to experience a sickness I could not cure myself of. Having finally done so, it seems I am extremely irritable at the effect to my work, but largely unintrusive. Whining achieves nothing.

Not particularly.
