Improved arrows

This arrows can be bought at any place that sells standard adventuring equipment.
Arrows with quality rare and above can be bought only at capital cities or special locations.
 

Price

Price at arrow is for entire quiver of 20 pieces as thats the amount most merchant will sell.  

Range

Range of improved arrows is prefixed with negative (-) or positive (+).
This simply affects the range of attack you can make with such an arrow.   

Multiple quivers

Only Ranger can always draw the arrow he wants, allowing him to use single quiver for multiple types of arrows.
Other classes must use multiple quivers, at maximum 3.
Multi-classing: You can benefit from this only if your ranger level is at least level 5 or is not the highest level class.   

Damaging arrows

Gunpowder arrow

Tip of this arrow is replaced by small rounded glass bulb that is filled with gunpowder. Only thing that leaves the bulb is small cloth you can set on fire to active this arrow.   As part of your attack action, you can lit this arrow on fire if you have at least one hand free or wielding short bow. On hit all creatures in 10ft radius centered on the target you hit, takes 1d10 fire damage. All creatures in this area must also succeed Dexterity saving throw DC 10 or be knocked prone.

Stunning arrow

Rare

This arrow is completely covered in small copper wires that all connects at its tip. These wires were magically infused by electricity that actives when tip touches anything.

This arrow deals damage as normal arrow.
When you hit a creature with this arrow, it must succeed Constitution saving throw DC 10 or be stunned. Creature can repeat its saving throw at the end of each turn. Creature can be also freed by removing the arrow.

This arrow has no effect on creatures immune to lightning damage.

Snake arrow

Very Rare

This arrow looks exaclty as normal arrow except it has symbol of snake across its entire body - mount at the tip and body across the wooden part.   When you shoot this arrow, it turns into Poisonous snake in middle of flight. Dealing Bite attack damage instead of your normal attack damage and attacking the same creature until it dies. If creature falls to 0 hit points, the snake crawls to the wilderness.

Acidic arrow

This arrow has small oval glass bulb instead of standard arrow tip. In the glass bulb is toxic green liquid that releases when the bulb shatters, covering the target in acid.   When you hit a creature with this arrow, it deals extra 1d10 acid damage and reduces the creature AC by 1 if its wearing armor until the end of its next turn.   This effect does not stacks.

Barbed arrow

This arrow tip looks like shark-tooth. Having small hooks that enters deeper into targets meat when someone tries to remove them.   This works as normal arrow, however when a creature tries to pull this arrow out, it deals additional 2d6 piercing damage.

Situational arrows

Caltrop arrow

This arrow has its tip in shape of one caltrop. On impact it breaks and splits into dozens of caltrops in 5ft area.   This arrow deals no damage on impact. After impact, it drops Caltrops as if used in bag.

Healing arrow

This arrow has instead of its tip small needle and its wooden body is filled with small dose of healing elixir.    When you hit a creature, this deals 1 piercing damage and then it heals for 1 hit point.

Flashing arrow

This arrow has its tip covered in black leather, which must be removed at last second before shooting. This leather hides blindingly bright tip, that shatters on impact, creating hundreds of small shinning shards fly through the air, blinding all creatures in the area.    All creatures in 10ft radius on impact must succeed Constitution saving throw DC 10 or be blinded until the end of their next turn.

Utility arrows

Flammable arrow

Tip of this arrow is replaced by cloth thats soaked in oil. Allowing it for easy burning.
However, the tip replacement has a costs - thats weight. This arrow is way heavier than normal arrow.

As part of your attack action, you can lit this arrow on fire if you have at least one hand free or wielding short bow.
This arrow no damage to creatures, however it sets aflame buildings with ease.

Firefly arrow

Tip of this arrow is replaced by glass filled by minimalized fireflies that returns to their original size when this glass breaks. In this tip it looks like hundreds of small yellow lights moving uncontrollably.   This arrow deals no damage. It creates 15ft radius dim light on impact for 1 minute.

Air-buble arrow

This arrow has empty glass bulb instead of tip that is filled with C02. This C02 expands when this glass shatters, creating unbreathable area and extinguishing all fires.   This arrow deals no damage. On hit all creatures in 10ft radius centered on the target you hit starts suffocating, all fires are extinguished and can’t be reignited until this effect ends. This effects lasts 1 minute or after the arrow is broken.   This effect does not work against creatures that does not need to breathe.

Blunt arrow

Common

This arrow's tip is removed and replaced with soft ball from cotton. This allows instead of breaking things to push them. However, the wooden part is made way heavier, so this arrow can't fly that far.   This arrow deals no damage. However, you can use it to knock things out instead of breaking them. Also can be used to press buttons or pull levers when used from right angle.

Spring Arrow

This arrow has its tip replaced by 2 small iron pieces, that are pulled from each other by spring. This spring leads across entire arrow. The arrow wooden body has several small cuts inside, allowing the spring to "jump" when released. This allows for timed release of the spring.   This arrow deals no damage. However, you can pull its strings to choose between distances, from 10ft to 300ft, steps are 50ft ( you choose fly time ). After this interval, this arrow makes incredibly loud sound that can be heard from 120ft.

Rope arrow

This arrow looks exactly like normal arrow, but has symbol of rope carved in its tip. 

When released from bow, bow and the arrow became connected with rope. If the arrow lands more than 50ft away from the bow, the rope shatters into small pieces and its unusable.
